xarthaz was just banned by boesthius. That account was created on 2010-09-01 04:39:44 and had 1697 posts. Reason: Goodbye. Am I the only person who was glad to see this today? This guy was pushing some seriously messed up ideas, and his posts were full of pseudo-philosophical gibberish. I ended up arguing with him in virtually every political thread. | ||

Well I dunno, I don't mind seeing the more extreme political arguments as it can make debates a little more interesting. But his style confused the hell out of me: action-axioms, praexology and simply quoting whole-sale arguments rather than synthesizing the arguments. Anyone who insists that Somalia is some kind of massive success, in spite of widespread famine, war, oppression, and violence, is not a loss. It's disgusting. Nevermind the fact that he went out of his way to make his "arguments" hard to understand, or simply copied and pasted random paragraphs from other people (without context), whether they applied to the topic at hand or not. It's fine to have extreme views, but you have to at least argue them coherently. | ||
