This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil.NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/ |

Reason: Don't be so condescending. With your history you're lucky to escape alive. Last chance bud. Keep it civil when you come back. He called me a white knight! Serves him right, I want to be a dark knight.

I don't care what skin colour people has, and racism and all other kinds of mindless discrimination are despicable, etc, etc. The fact remains that purely because there are few female pro-gamers, SlayerS_Jessica picked EvE. Pro-gaming should always remain a meritocracy, and I disagree with picking up EvE over many players beyond her ability/potential, purely because she is female. If there were other reasons, like she'd won the application tourney, or was playing really well in Masters/GM I would be pleased about another sick SlayerS addition. Unfortunately, she's not. Just an encouragement move to female gamers which actually had the opposite effect to what was intended: a knee-jerk reaction from the community. Of course, I don't condone this knee-jerk reaction either. Most of the comments were just shite, no better way to put it. But I feel even if one side in this argument is less to blame than the other, neither are without flaws. This mess just shouldn't have happened in the first place and it's a shame it did. To fire/get rid of SlayerS_EvE would just lower respect for you and make it look like you've given in, so I reckon your course of action should stay true. There will be a lot of pressure on Eve, and I hope she can live up to it, not just for her sake, but for SlayerS in general and the community. Good luck Thank you for saying what I can't type on my phone. This is my point User was temp banned for sexism.
I guess I'm too used to the line "User was temp banned for this post" that the ban line took me off guard.

what kinda person must post about banned people to feel better? This is a disgusting thread. I would wager (never been very good at it. mind.) that alot of people are banned simply because they lack the tact to state there claims in "tl.net" speak. Which is a bunch rules and norms broken everyday but very sporadically enforced.
my general drift is that if you catch the wrong guy, the wrong way. game over. thanks for playing. This is troublesome, because posting is often done- in the moment. Taking what they have read, or heard and responding with emotion.
I know the score. its 200 to 0 and they are waiting for you to quit. Its imbalanced.
Edit... yeah yeah. sorry fellas. booze.

The bold bit is exactly why we have this thread.
I have said it many times. The ABL should be compulsory reading because then you get an idea of what TL expects of you.
Commandment 3 "3. THOU SHALL THINK BEFORE POSTING"
Edit: Actually can you please make a thread in Website Feedback about this. If you really feel strongly that we are engaging in a "disgusting thread" because we laugh at some people's stupidity, then it needs to be discussed. But not here as it is off topic.

Man, the thing that always amuses me about these threads when drama pops up is the hundreds of people who automatically become experts and begin to berate and belittle other users

I know the score. its 200 to 0 and they are waiting for you to quit. Its imbalanced. 'cause there isn't a ~500 page thread discussing bans or a ~821 page thread of bans for people to reference about proper conduct...

I uh.. Maybe he means supply count? I don't know man, even with English as a first language it's still a strangely worded post.
In other news, Nyvone started his banning run.

Reason: Absolutely horrible post history and now this?
Just like in WW2 when the U.S. bombed Japan for NO REASON whatsoever, the U.S. is fucking over yet another Asian country... this time something bigger, eSports. Foreign teams now think they can just buy good Korean players to join their POS team. This is kinda BS. Like when Rain joined Fnatic and now PuMa is forced unwillingly into EG.
Really? I thought about just perming you straight off the bat but you're going to have some time to attend some posting classes before deciding if you really want to continue posting here.
That's brilliant... ignoring the rather silly political discussion that could be brought up...
"Stealing" a player is worse than a nuclear bomb? Did I read that correctly? The "integrity" of Esports is more important to you than countless lives? Perspective needed much? It's statements like this that give gamers the bad name of being crazy addicted basement dwellers with no perspective.

Well, it's not about what you say but about how you say it.
