It's ticked by default. We also have the option of banning you without sending the PM but still posting to the ban list, which is fun.

Has anybody ever done that? It strikes me a bit rude to do so though I guess for multi-accounts it makes sense..

Mods must have access to all sorts of residency and IP information to have figured out how to ban that individual, I’m not sure I want them having all this knowledge

Someone seems to be testing a reddit bot in the politics threads. Dunno what it is going to accomplish when people cannot upvote wonderful high quality posts like "Excellent post!"

I suppose it's to increase post count, and then the bot can choose to spread influence on political matters. I think there was a bot recently who just copy previous posts and then advertise something once it got something like 12 posts.
