He would let the moderation staff know exactly how wrong they were, one way or another. I just wandered over to website feedback and was amazed to see that thread is still alive. And really has exactly the same content as the actual USPol thread. It's like an infection, spreading all over TL. It started in general, then spread to website feedback, now blogs... soon it'll take over featured news!

We had an issue when didn't understand him but for the most part I think he was trying to post reasonably and about politics, he just didn't seem to understand social rules, even online. It sounds like his PM's were not good, but his with me were fine. This thread sometimes feels like the kick guys when they are down thread. Which I don't really mind when people can come back and respond to it. When they are perma'd it seems a little too harsh. I concur; agree with him or not, zlefin certainly cared about encouraging discussions and I'm a bit sad that he's totally gone now. He also said he had developed long term health problems, the poor guy.

He once asked what constituted an impeachable offense. I told him it was still a debatable issue and he should look up what people consider “high crimes and misdemeanors” to start because that is still debated. He clearly didn’t know that “high crimes and misdemeanors” was the exact verbiage from the constitution, because he told me I was wrong and didn’t feel those were impeachable. The whole thing ended with him sending me nasty PMs because I was a troll for answer his question. He seemed like an OK guy besides that. But often that was the only interaction folks could have with him.

It’s sort of hard to look past the hate mail that people tend to post about what he sent to them, though, because it’s quite bad. this is my general sentiment as well, though i know i’ll miss him anyway.
