tbh i don't think stealth should have taken a ban for that. it was a dumb as hell post (at this point people should know what 'corporate' donations represent, come on), but the tweets certainly made sense in context of my exchange with him.

Yeah same. Temp ban from the thread first before warning for perm ban from the thread. Like I had argued for doodsmack. Site wide ban should never be applied for thread specific violations.

as like all mod punishments, they may need to escalate should the first not work. CCSB had been thread banned before. should this not have resulted in some action it would just be used as fodder for the disparate treatment complaints. previous actions not being heeded and voila.

I'm arguing that he should just have been thread temp banned and if the view was that that didn't work, he should had just been thread perm banned, just to clarify.

The site-wide temp ban was the end result of a lack of communication on our part. I certainly wasn’t thinking about a temp ban from the site for SB. I was going to thread ban him for a prolonged period. But the decision was made before I could give my input.
