Once upon a time I knew a particularly charming female specimen, and I gave her a birthday present after her birth year: a stone zodiac rooster. I then got to listen to a long and awkward story about how, since the Chinese almost universally refer to the zodiac rooster as the cock, that whenever she wanted to purchase something similar in a Chinese artifact shop, that she had to deal with a nontrivial amount of talk about "the year of the cock." Then the ABL roosters join in and start laughing at everybody. That's probably how we sound to an alien who visits earth and doesn't understand human. | ||
