Okay, so I think I may know what the point is. So getting banned is normally a negative thing that you try to avoid, so it's kind of funny when you go and ask for a ban so that you can study. It brings humor to what is normally a hostile situation. Or something like that anyway. Someone with a Psychology degree could probably enlighten us on what is going on "under the hood" of posters who ask to be banned. | ||

I think its more a way to force you away when you know you have something more important to do. Getting better self-control would solve that without the ban, but if you know you cant keep away its better to ask for the ban | ||

Hitch-22 was just banned by EvilTeletubby. That account was created on 2013-02-04 22:12:15 and had 749 posts. Reason: Previously banned user. Zero improvement over prior account. Jeez. Also the guy with the name I can't pronounce above Hitch got banned also, anyone find the post he got banned for (for both of them I mean)? | ||
