first post is a temp ban. feel like he wont be around long. posting an avertisement in a thread specifically complaining about people posting advertisements and telling them specifically not to do the following things
Don't make us think that you are using our site as a marketing tool and we wont have any problems.
Good ways to make us think you are a giant tool bag - Make your user name your product/website name. - Include a big ol' obnoxious link in your quote. - Make a blog with a link to your offsite blog.
(its even funnier if you read the entire thing
. If we feel that there's someone with 50 posts, and 30 of those posts are OPs to advertise/link his own content on another site, then we get our panties in a twist
so what does our guy post as his first post?

for good grief people just because something says advertising does not mean its for advertising there. read the thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=117332¤tpage=15

User was banned for this post. From the change my name topic. what if future-geckoVOD says "please ignore my prior opinion that you should ignore possible changes in opinion?" do you ignore the first opinion, or ignore the second opinion? you would think that the second opinion more accurately reflects thought and consideration about the topic, and is the most accurate representation of his actual mental state. however, his initial opinion considered and determined that his future opinion may indeed change based on thought and consideration, and did not want that to influence decisions so may be a more accurate representation of his emotional state. what to do? such a quandary.

Ah, bollocks. Didn't realize that there was a mod note. My bad!
Anyway, I was just curious because I kept seeing people being banned for balance whining on the ban-list like this:
gnr9292 was just temp banned for 2 days by KadaverBB. That account was created on 2009-09-27 05:04:01 and had 81 posts. Reason: Don't balance whine please
oogieogie was just temp banned for 2 days by EvilTeletubby.
That account was created on 2011-06-02 16:32:47 and had 2643 posts.
Reason: Been a little while since you've been warned/banned for balance whining. This is your semi-annual reminder.
And I was wondering if people balance whining was a common reason for being banned.
+ Show Spoiler +I read the mod note this time--I swear!

Balance whine is a hefty percentage of total bans, especially in LR threads. gnr9292 was really asking for it.

User was warned for this post want to help me out on what the last one was? =) A very thorough remainder of what the BW forums really are ... Still Gecko will be missed, he was a great LP-BW editor - and these are a rare kind nowadays. I'm glad I removed that part of TL from my mind after getting banned twice over there. Perhaps I should do the same with the DotA2 forums, I got warned the last 2 times I posted there.
