I just had the most gratifying read through the automated ban list in a very long time. That thread was so infuriating, and for a LR thread no less, that it was just a joy to see those posters knocked down like bowling pins. The banlings were such a good idea now that in a well moderated forum there need to be big warnings on certain threads saying they'll be strictly watched. Gotta keep the law laid down.

For some people TL mods appear as giant douches who suppress the freedom of speech aka the freedom to make dumb posts and threads. At first I truly believed that it was a little bit over the top, but you can only appreciate it in comparison with another forum. Let me tell you what happens without moderation. I enjoy visiting Grappling forum on Sherdog because I train BJJ. Most threads and members who post there are also BJJ practitioners so it's an easy way to get an opinion, advice, help with something grappling related. However, that forum lacks almost any kind of moderation. In fact, it seems like the same threads pop up with certain frequency there. Some appear more frequently and some less, but to find something unique is becoming more and more difficult. My enjoyment of that particular forum has been decreasing drastically over the past couple of months. Every single time I open the main page it's the same old BS topics that have been done so many times it hurts my head to count. I only have a couple hundred posts but those posts cover about 99% of new threads so I can pretty much just start copy-pasting my posts and be spot on. There is a ton of trash talking, which can certainly be backed up in many cases, but that only goes so far when it comes to comedic value. It's increasingly difficult to go through 20 pages of a thread to find several decent posts that have any sort of effort put into them. I am new to this forum. I am not a good SC player. I still would like to say thanks.
