Welcome everyone, to Season 5 of the TL Community Member Awesomeness Tournament!
NOTE: This season of TLCMAT will pay a special tribute to John "TotalBiscuit" Bain. More info on this will be revealed later.
Rules:
This is a popularity contest, so the community will be voting. All voting will be done through TL Polls, because TL is #1 and everyone freaking knows it.
NOTE: As the supervisor of this tournament, if I make a decision on something, then my word is final. Sorry, but no one ever said that life was fair :/
Nomination Rules:
All participants must be nominated into the tournament. Let's get some awesome nominations going for the people who do something for the esports community and deserve to be recognized!
This thread will serve as the Nomination Thread. Nominations will end exactly 1 week later. The first 64 to get nominated into the tournament are in. If we don't get to 64, then we will have a reduced number of participants for the first round.
As this is a community event, we will be excluding pro gamers, casters, and famous esports personalities from GOM/SPOTV/IEM/DH/Blizzard, etc. etc.
As a form of seeding, some community members need less nominations in order to join the main tournament:

Reds - 2 Nominations
All other TL Staff/Forum Stars - 3 Nominations
Trial Staff/Non-Staff Contributors (People who do LR threads a lot, or translate, or do Live Reports, manage fan clubs, etc.) - 4 Nominations
Forum Users (basically everyone else) - 5 Nominations
Each user can only nominate a maximum of 10 people. More nominations will be given as we get closer to the deadline.
How Do I Nominate?
Please follow this format!!!

If you see that a user that you like has been already nominated, please post ##Second: (insert name here). You do not need to provide the necessary information if someone already posted it before you. But if that person left something out, then by all means, feel free to add in some details yourself!

Everyone gets a maximum of 10 ##Seconds to use. You CANNOT vote for the same person more than once!

Format:
The tournament will follow GSL format but there will be three group stages instead of two. The Ro8 and onward will be knockout rounds.
Ro64 – GSL Style Groups

Ro16 – GSL Style Groups
Ro8 – Single Elimination
Ro4 – Single Elimination
Finals / Third Place Match – Single Elimination
*Group Selections:
Just like GSL, I will make a Group Selections thread for the Ro16. The thread will show the order of how people are supposed to select a person of their choice. All other rounds will be done through randomization.
Prize Pool:
We need a GoFundMe or a Patreon, or something like that first... Even then, I can't promise that I'll just pocket all the money for myself.

I will define success as top placings (a metric that remains constant throughout time), as the financial success from prize money depended heavily on the sponsorship available for each era, while statistics such as win rates depended quite a lot on the type of format each tournaments implemented (which did not remain constant throughout time). I also will not define success as merely qualifying for the leagues, partly because it is such a huge pain in the arse tallying up all the round of 16 appearances for each race.
For race-pickers, whichever race was their most frequently selected from semi-finals onwards will be defined as their main race.
MBC Game StarLeague (26 tournaments in total):
Championships: Terran (12), Zerg (10), and Protoss (4)
Finals appearances: Zerg (23), Terran (16), and Protoss (13)
Semi-finals appearances: Zerg (43), Terran (36), and Protoss (25)
Ongamenet StarLeague (34 tournaments in total):
Championships: Terran (14), Zerg (10), and Protoss (10)
Finals appearances: Terran (26), Zerg (23), and Protoss (19)
Semi-finals appearances: Zerg (51), Terran (48), and Protoss (37)
From an overall historical perspective, it certainly seems plausible that MBC Game StarLeague was a better plaform for top zerg players, although the exact reasoning for that phenomenon needs more inspection in my opinion.

That was my fault. I did a final count on the last day and realized that I had too many people on my list of qualified participants. After backtracking to figure out where I messed up, I noticed that I accepted opisska after we already had 32 people qualify.
