The forum star is one of the rarest account designations we have on TeamLiquid. In my 3 year tenure on staff the only time I can remember one going out was last year to Dakota_Fanning. The star next to someone's name designates them as top level contributors to our community, people who have added to the depth and breadth of knowledge available throughout TL. Though the mouse-over says 'quality poster' the reality is that it is much more than that, it shows that someone has a dedication and longevity that are unmatched.
If you take a look at the current list of forum stars you will see a distinguished group. Many of them updated TL, and the community at large, in ways no one else could. Some provided us services such as stream servers in the days when simply viewing a game live was a luxury, or helped create the tools that make BW or SC2 as accessible and awesome as they are. A lot of them were translators, working an often thankless job simply to give us access to the thoughts of a community removed from our own.
Today juicyjames joins their ranks for his endless work on This Week in StarCraft 2. He has been creating these threads and collecting every relevant piece of StarCraft 2 information for over a year now, as well as regularly updating a main thread with the highlights. It's a time consuming endeavor, and he does it consistently and without any problems. There have been many weeks where I don't even realize it's Friday until James messages me (precisely at 9pm my time) with the week's updates, and not once has he gone missing or had a lackluster thread.
Over the past year I've also gotten to know James a little, and his passion and dedication to StarCraft really goes above and beyond anything we can ask of our forum members. He's an integral part of our community and we're all happy to have him here.
Always thought the Week in Reviews were great and bit underrated. Grats juicyjames, and know that I say your SN in a slow, deep voice everytime I see it.
Congrats. Really enjoy "This Week in StarCraft 2". It's a great way to catch up events that occurred during busy weeks. Thank you for your hard work and once again, congrats!
I remember when the day i got my star :3...and i remember when those bastards took it away ;_; This Week in Starcraft 2 is one of the best community features we have! Great work James.
congratulations! well deserved! the thread was so helpfull to me when i was busy and away from home for months and just wanted to keep a little bit up with the sc2 scene. thanks!
I had no idea this was not a staff thing, shows how much attention I pay. It's a great thing juicyjames is doing, the star is well deserved. There should be more though. Cake maybe.
Congratulations! Very deserved, hard working without making much noise. While I don´t use it much since I get to read almost everything, it´s one of the best information pieces you can get if you have limited time to spend.

Big congratulations to juicyjames for earning such a community importance, as well as a star. I use "This Week In Starcraft 2" every week to ensure I don't miss a thing that happens in the metagame and in the community.
Thank you for all the hard work. TLnet might not be the same without you and "This Week." ^^
I view your threads every time juicyjames and they are of amazing help to me. I might not comment on them that often, because there really isn't much to point out, but they truly are amazing.
Always love to see great, selfless efforts rewarded and praised- rarely do the people working tirelessly to further our common goal (world domination ESPORTS!) get the credit they deserve. Not today! Congratulations, keep up the good work (please).
I remember the first time he posted on TL, I gave him a PM telling him he would be destined to write up highlights of the week for the communities benefit.

btw: lol at that list. why does yakii have two stars?
I don't know half of the people on the list
First star was for his dedication to the small VOD thread, second star was for just how important the small VOD thread became to the TL experience by the time he left for the army.

Same here. He made me think: "Wow, what an awesome community TL is, that someone does all this work without even being asked to" etc.
Is there any way to change the mouseover of the stars from 'Quality Poster' to the reason why the user has the star? That way they would bear even more appreciation potential.

Many congratulations JuicyJames. I look forward to "this week in sc2" every week! I can't imagine how much effort that goes into them. I think I'm on the forums a lot and catch most of the trades and drama that goes down, but there is still many times that I find new info in your thread. So thank you! Keep being awesome =)
Have no idea who this guy is, but that's due to the fact that I don't follow This Week in SC2 at all because I just read the given threads but congrats anyway.

Now that the thanks have finished trickling in, I want to thank all 149 people who have said nice things in this thread. I do not do it for the recognition, but it certainly helps when I get it.
