Why aren't we allowed to check our own post breakdown?

Would it be possible/reasonable for users to be given read access to the threads generated by their own reports? It would be really nice to see what if any discussion takes place around the posts we report to help us to better understand what we should and shouldn't be reporting, without having to PM a mod to ask.

Discussion isn't too common on mod reports, and every mod handles situations slightly different. One might dismiss the report where another would 2-day, for instance, but since it's closed the 2-day doesn't happen.

Okay so i want to type this somewhere and knew it wasnt worth a thread or even a blog, but I felt like here was a good place.
"Why do mods always close thread while I'm in the middle of a very detailed replay?" I type this great response double check it for spelling errors and grammar. Then click post and boom "This thread is closed". Every time it happens I just whisper in my head "God dammit".
