I actually bothers me quite a lot that starcraft is such a big part of my life but it is so hard to put across whats so amazing about it. I mean even my closest friends needed like half a year to get kind of an idea what its all about so how the hell can I talk about starcraft with someone I've just met... Well besides that I can say that starcraft definitely had a by far bigger impact on my life than any of the traditional sports I did so far and the starcraft community had a bigger impact than any of the sports clubs I've been a member of so far.

from the artists that sculpt, to the hilarious comments and one liners that seem to come every other post, i am always amazed at what i can find here. and the moderators seem to have this reserved grace and class about that keeps the riff raff out and the well mannered guys in. its quite humbling to see how the people who work here care so much. its truly inspiring.

You just have to be passionate man. Sometimes women look at me like I'm insane, but then I ask them..."Would you rather me be passionate about nothing?" It normally opens it up for a great conversation. You are who you are, if you believe in something, others will believe in it too. I find myself watching GSL late at night too. I've sometimes even set my alarm clock for 5am just so I could watch code S or some up&down matches. Mention all that stuff to them!

I feel the same way regarding being kept on track. It's like Day9 said on I think his 100th daily, there's no shame in staying home to play when others are going out. I know I'm not all that social (and not to sound like a jerk, but I'm not fond of many people around me; I used to feel pressured into trying to be friends with people I didn't even like all that much, but now I'm comfortable with this direction.) But it's true...the community. I've made random friends on battle.net that I can talk to about non-SC things. I can read intelligent debate in the general forum regarding political and social issues. I can get tips for important obstacles in life from selfless strangers. I love the part about talking to girls about it. I talk to everyone about it. If that's a problem, so be it, if you want to be around me you'd have to get used to it lol, I'm not changing. I've never felt such a passion for something so simple. And go mods. I love seeing intelligent discussion flourish. And bad mannered, immature morons get banned instantly, always good for a laugh. Very inspiring bro.
