I just joined TL, I played a lot of WoW and a some BW back in the day. My client became corrupt and would freeze when ever I tried to play Toss or Zerg and I hated playing Terran so I quit playing.

As a proud polak I thought I'd contribute from post number one. Now all my polish pals have no excuse! If there are polish folks out there who want help understanding something, ask me. I love translating and Google has a hard time with Polish (sometimes drop-dead funny nonetheless).

I read the rules and the first 34 pages of the discussion that followed, some posts were quite clever, so I decided to join the forum. I might not contribute with a whole lot (just started playing SC2 versus the insanely difficult "normal" A.I, but I find the topics and ideas about StarCraft quite interesting, and even though I might (I won't) reach a high level of gameplay myself, its fascinating to follow those who do, and its probably easier to understand the reasoning behind decisions in the game rather then getting the insane APM needed to be a good player. I guess im interested in eSports in the same way im interested in "normal" Sports. You can play football with your friends and still not have a fat chance in hell to play for pro-team. I remember far back in the day when I first played BroodWar (about when it was released). I was easily discouraged by the insanely good "easy" A.I in that game, and there for only played the campaign. Later on I played a little multiplayer in WC3 with my friends, but I was more interested in shooters like CS. Recently been following Day9, Husky, HD, Psy, Artosis, and I found it entertaining enough as to want to learn more about the game. So here I am. Im unsure as to what to write in this first post, seeing how as the discussion progressed through the pages of this post, some where discussing the relevance of the rules, for about 20 pages (with two particular users proclaiming that they were not democratic enough), and then there was probably 10 pages of flamewar, which seemed to result in alot of bans, followed by incouragement to stop posting in this thread, unless there was something significant to add. Now I don't know if posting my intentions on this sight is significant or not, since I did not read the 100 pages that followed, but im hoping this will suffice as an agreement to the rules and that it will not be considered spam.

Well here I am. I am joining these forums because I want to become a better SC2 player. At first, I thought I could just get by watching videos by various people. I need more than this.

I worked myself up to rank 4 in my Bronze division, and I had a really good record of 25-15. I'm now on a 5 game losing streak......

I wanna get better. I know I'm not a Bronze player. I keep playing Silver and Gold players, sometimes losing, sometimes winning. This latest losing streak has got me kinda down, and so my solution is to join TL, and hopefully get better by lurking and such. :D
