Ascor I was looking through the post and searched for you on twitter, mind hooking us up with an easy link?
also, as for your pesky stepfather and your seemingly strict parents, I grew up in a very strict household and I was unable to continue playing with my CS team because my parents enacted a 9PM computer curfew for me when I was 16 years old. A very ridiculous rule if you ask me.
My best advice to you is to just be agreeable with them, and do your best to maintain decent grades. If you are agreeable, and start to do well in school, they might get off your back. I never wanted to do my homework in high school, so I never managed to get good grades, and it sucked being punished for a C or a B. It gets better man, trust me.

If you dont trust me i recommend you to download it somewhere else or get the fuck out and use an official ms theme

I hope he doesn't make the classic mistake of turning it into as much of SC2 as he can - and from that breaking the prettyness of it. First and foremost it's a skin - it should be designed as one. If you're sacrificing functionality or making poor design choices just to incorporate more of the SC2 theme that's probably a bad idea.
Do whatever looks good and keeps it looking clean. Readability and font choice with dark themes is key.
Good luck - some high res screenshots would be nice!

First talk too me directly. Sacrificing functionality? Dude wtf? I wont take out win7 features or sth like that. Dude i am sorry but i dont get you.
|
I'll put it in layman's terms.
Please don't turn it into the skinjob of a a child. Don't just slap shit everywhere, actually make it look good.
Eg. on the first image the top of the startmenu text is illegible, and the transition from the hexagonal pattern to the blue is godawful.
Edit: Merry Christmas.

See dude. It's alpha stage. Many times in the thread i stated that it has flaws and that i would fix especially the startmenu. It is NOT done yet.
|
Exactly why I'm saying don't lose track as you go.
|
I dont know what makes you think i'd loose track

Anyways Merry Christmas everyone and especially you Ascor

I'd like to answer questions on twitter so other users from other sites can read them too Yes, I did. Just double checked it and the patch option is grayed out for me so i definetely applied it. edit: just tried to reapply uxtheme patcher and i got the message of fail to create temp file. Could you try to unapply and then apply again?
i did, several times and i still get this windows classic look with no wallpaper. Copied the folder and file to the correct location also. The start menu thing doesn't even work unless I'm on an official windows theme.
