Somewhat both. It's mostly the fact that a lot of warns indicates a bad posting history, which means the mods will be less forgiving with bans.

Are warnings similiar to a criminal offence, i.e are you marked for the rest of your forum membership or do warnings have a last date, so to speak (assuming you stop doing what you got warned for initially).

Warnings will go on your permanent record, but I'm pretty sure the mods will forgive you eventually if you clean up your act.

I'm not trying to get information on how to play around the rules here (which I know wouldn't be a good idea trying to do anyway). Simply curious on how this whole thing works (and how careful I should be, lol).

Edit: My questions are quite specific and I could not find any information on these with the search function.
