Hello TL! Long time lurker and first time poster here. Been looking for motivation to stop playing starcraft and paint more in photoshop, this contest turned out to be the perfect opportunity to combine the two.
Draft of my design: + Show Spoiler [old pic] + Still very unfinished, still thinking about the text placement, colours, image placement and there is still lots of detailing left.
So - i would really appreciate any suggestions and or feedback! :D

this. is. awsome! i like the colors of both a lot, perhaps the top a little more than the second one. Good work!

The two shirts above are fantastic, along with this thread's quality :D.

Here's new one: Changed it quite a bit (got rid of that godawful font -.-), also lowered the amount of colours in the logo to make it easier for prints. Tried a lot of different fonts, but I think that one fits the theme nicely. Thoughts? Definitely the best entry so far! I love the creativity, and I hope we'll see some more cool stuff come up in the next few weeks! :D
Awesome, but i think the shadows and highlights would be better if they were choppier.. Like use straight lines on the highlights anime style for toss/terran and circle ones for zerg..

As a tshirt thats my favorite, 2nd favorite in this thread overall, incorporating the horse, the logo, and the idea of teamliquid is actually really clever

Yeah that looks awesome. Well I think it still needs some work like the creator says, but it's still awesome.
I really hope they use more than 1 of these designs, there are way too many awesome designs in this thread to only pick one.

Dayummm, those shirts are awesome!

Slick and simple. Reminding of professional sport teams!

Tried a lot of different fonts, but I think that one fits the theme nicely. Thoughts? Thats a step in the right way but a raw trace wont cut it I'm afraid, if you straighten the paths on the highlights and shadows properly I think it'll look amazing. live trace can be too sloppy and precise at the same time causing it still to look like a raster and messing up your detail. you can either do that or redraw the whole thing in illustrator, I know it may seem like a lot of work but its really not and the outcome would be much much better. About the type, eh.. if you really like that style I'd suggest using Avant Garde but otherwise I'd recommend something classic like Futura or Frutiger. Or just use Helvetica like a normal person. ;p Also I really think you should get the kerning straight, note the first and second "i" in "liquid" in example. Just try to make the illustration flat, like 1 colour yellow for the background shape, 1 for shadows, 1 for borders, 1 for highlights etc. On the print note its easy to print as it is, since this particular one would use only cyan and yellow of cmyk and thats essentially 50% cheaper.
laste you sound like an expert yourself, why not do some designs of your own?
Sh0guni, that looks brilliant mate, really looking forward to the T and Z designs!

I would love to have a T-Shirt similar to those which TL players are wearing at the MLG Dallas. Example: It is really cool. With a posibility of customization on the back part (nickname) - awesomeness.

New waves, repositioned stuff and updated text.
I pretty much just realized that the shirt doesn't really fit into the category "what you usually put on t-shirts", might be a bit influenced by designbyhumans.com shirts. So, do you guys actually want to wear it? If not i might try some different kind of approach.
