There have been a lot of times when I've tried to decide whether I was "gay" or not, but I hardly ever really feel anything either way. Mostly I just jerk off in my sleep. Like, actually jerk off, where I wake up without my pants and everything. Never met another guy who does that haha. I usually find guys more attractive than girls, but I think this is mostly just situational. There are plenty of girls I think are just as attractive, it just seems hard to find any of them in real life (even the stereotypical "good-looking" girls). With both genders, it's mostly just aesthetic, though. At least when I'm awake, I feel like I have basically no sex drive, which feels frustrating sometimes. Maybe it's a combination of depression (ambiguous term) and adderall. Not sure, though.

you're probably what they consider, aesexual, or not attracted to any sex. I'm guessing ur more attracted to men because you are one and can identify and relate to them more, or maybe even respect them more. Apparently 1% of the population has 0 sexual attraction to any sex. This doesn't mean you can't have a satisfying relationship with someone. While many will argue sexual attraction is pretty key to a successful relationship, I've known couples who have lived happily together for many years simply because they like each other and enjoy each others company. Don't be frustrated <3

Upon reading the OP I was going to make a remark stating that singling out the gay community is just another path leading to both segregation and propagating the feeling of separation from the rest of the community that people; including some in this thread, have stated is commonplace for a gay person to feel.

Whilst I still believe the above; in a general philosophical way, reading through this thread has made me realise I may in fact be way off the mark, and that perhaps a straight person has no place commenting here.
Some of the stories/feelings people have posted are things no straight person will have experienced and hearing them discussed like this was, at least for me, a little humbling. This thread has been both interesting and educational and as a straight male I must say thanks for opening my eyes a little, and helping me see that the things some of you guys have had to go through can't be empathised with by people like me who have never experienced it.

This is true, but if you are asexual please be honest with the people you are in a relationship with before you get into some kind of commitment, particularly if monogamy is a requirement for the relationship.
