Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.

No problem with homosexuality, or any other kind of sexuality for that matter, we are all people. As a former (read closet) Drama Geek, I was often surrounded by homosexual men and women (many will know that this is in fact not a generalization, just a natural fact, idk something about theatre is just....fabulous  ) and I never felt differently about someone if I knew that they were gay, or if I later found out that they were gay, we were there to put on a show, a...fabulous show, and that was that. The only thing anyone cared about was whether your lines were memorized and you could sing well enough and with enough presence to carry off the show with vigor and candor. I have never understood discriminating against someone on the basis of an ascribed trait, something that you were born with as surely as the color of your skin or the size of your ears. It has always seemed silly to me, a boy that was raised as a southern gentlemen, who would never be rude to someone just because they had frizzy hair or a cleft lip, when I learned what homosexuality was, it seemed no different to me, and frankly I was embarrassed for all of the people that I saw deriding, taunting and slandering gays, I was horrified that they could be so mean and so rude on public television to anyone (I was not raised watching reality tv obviously) and thought that they should be ashamed of themselves. How it affects e-sports, or even SC2 in general I have no idea. There aren't alot of openly gay sports stars so it may affect the e-sports stars in similar ways, less "attractive" to certain sponsors, some derision or revulsion from teammates, although it seems to me that the e-sports community and SC2 specifically is incredibly open and accepting, I mean hey we're all nerds here right??!? So it may be just another part of who you are to most fans and players, teams and sponsors, its a different world than when the NFL and other sports leagues were growing in popularity and forming powerful business corporations, tastes and taboos have changed perhaps e-sports can be the "Guiding Light" for other similar organizations and communities and start a more powerful trend of love and acceptance regardless of who you are as an individual. At the end of the day the only thing that matters to me (and much of the community) is whether or not you can beat me  (rank 2 Diamond currently btw Zren.540) and how sick your micro/macro/mechanics are. Frostclaw was full when i tried to make on it, so i just made on some random US server. I agree that the jedi spell graphics are kinda silly compared to the sith ones, but as you said, throwing giant boulders at people is VERY fun!!

Trust me GDR, its soooooo awesome doing it! The best part: Half of the guys at any rock climbing gym are super hot and rarely have shirts on . Its awesome eye-candy for us.
