I am also confused if it is New-nee or No-nee.
And to throw it in there, does Idra say his name with a long i or a short i.

It's one thing there being a few ambiguities in English pronunciations, it's a completely different thing to plain not know how letters are pronounced. I find it appalling that someone pronounces "no" as "new". It might have been understandable coming from someone whose English isn't their first language.

know-knee for Nony tie-lur for Tyler eye-draw for Idra all of the other pronunciations are either people copying artosis (who just fails at saying it right) or people bugging Nony and Idra by mispronouncing it on purpose.

New Knee makes no sense from a pronunciation standpoint and it doesn't sound as awesome. Would you mind explaining?

And he shortened it himself to idra, so it should be pronounced with a short i, like magdain said.

Maybe he meant it to be a word from a language where "o" is pronounced the way "ew" is in English. Maybe that particular letter has a diacritical mark (like an umlaut) that may not be a valid character for some websites/games. Lots of different languages use more or less the same alphabet as English even though they don't pronounce all the letters the same. English isn't the only "right" way to spell/pronounce words. As far as I'm concerned, proper names are pronounced however their owner says they are. So if someone who gives his name as "ocwouhgcfwoiqfeo" says it's pronounced "Mr. Brown", then it is.

I asked him exactly how you were supposed to say his name because the majority of people who graduated high school pronounce it Naw-knee (short "o) or Know-knee (long "o) but no one says it like New-knee (long "u") even though a few members are sure that's how Tyler wants it to be pronounced This is the exact statement Liquid'Tyler gave on his name pronunciation He said that when he and his brother were younger they were coming up with names that were simple but had to be pronounced weirdly. So he decided on Nony but decided that it would be pronounced NEW-NEE just to be annoying. That's it @_@

What does Nony mean Nony is a nickname that my brother gave me when I was about 5 and he was about 7. It doesn't have any meaning at all. It is pronounced like the words 'knew' and 'knee'. Knew-knee with equal emphasis on both syllables. He still calls me that today and my friends called me that when I was a child. Taken from this interview. The real question is, if his brother called him "new-knee", why did he start spelling it "Nony."

Nony is spelled like "noon-ee". Not "noh-nee". In my language, the "o" sound is like the sound in noon so I guess I'm lucky with that one, but I understand that it's weird for English talkers. Idra is spelled like ih-dra, with a short "ih" sound. Not "eye-dra".
