It's going to be my first time but I've been getting really into sc2 playing alot and watching the gsl religiously so it'd be great to meet some other people who enjoy sc2. I'm leaving from the Rockville area so if anyone needs a ride I'd be down since I remember some ppl talking about the Shady grove metro station which is right by my house. Edit: Oh Saturday =/ | ||

I'm posting this here as a suggestion from my original thread. I've created a DC-area meetup group for SC2. You can find it here: http://www.meetup.com/SC2-DC/ Depending on your interests, we can meet up for drinks, have watching parties for GSL/MLG/etc, attend MLG DC next year, practice together, hold some LAN parties (I know, I know), and anything else you may come up with. If we get enough people, we may be able to hold our own in-house tournaments, too. I didn't know about these weekly dinners, but we can make that part of the meetup group if you'd like. @elkram, there is usually about 8 - 15 people who come to these. It's about a 15 - 20 minute drive out of D.C. depending on traffic. It's $12 / person for delicious food. @maiku anyone who is really into the BW / SC2 scene will know of TL and find this thread soon enough. But anyways, we already have LANs / tournaments. Feel free to come to some of these dinners, I myself won't come for another 2 - 3 weeks depending on when I'm back in the area. However a bunch of people still go without me, even though it just isn't the same  | ||

We actually talk about anything dc related here usually. (future lans, gls, etc) Also I don't think its fair to have a"sc2 only" DC thread when bw is still a huge part of this community (you may not care much about playing it, but watching the games for proleague finals or msl osl is always loads of fun +drinks) Probably need to update the op since it hasn't been updated. | ||
