I talked to you a little earlier on the phone about a possible Starcraft 2 tournament for you and your friends. This is what we can offer your group: Your friends can buy 5 hour blocks of game time for $10. Regular price is $13. That is almost a 25% discount. If the tournament goes longer than the 5 hours, you and your group of friends can of course purchase another 5 hour block of time for $10. Entry fee for the tournament could then be $10 per person. 100% of this money would go to the tournament cash prize pool. 70% for 1st place, and 30% for 2nd place. We can structure the tournament however you want. Double Elimination (suggested for less than 16 players) or Single Elimination (suggested for 16 or more players). Then you can do best of One or best of Three. If best of One is chosen, we do suggest the championship match is best of Three. If you have any more questions, either give me a call or reply to this e-mail! Sounds like GamerzFunk is cheaper if you don't include a prize pool. GamerzFunk: $10 for 5 hours + $10 for prize pool = $20 Versus Gaming: $15 for all day pass + prize included in all-day pass= $15 I'm sure we could talk to GamerzFunk and see if we could change the $10 to $5 for the prize pool. It's up to you guys!

I have 8 "Play ALL Day Saturday for FREE" giftcards for Versus Gaming that I got from GEEX that I could give you guys if we decided to do it this Saturday. They expire August 16th. Everyone that went to GEEX got a bunch too. So if we can get it organized for this Saturday, thats the way to do it imo.

So, Saturday, Aug. 14 2:00 p.m. at Versus Gaming - $15 all day pass, no prizes unless someone pitches in or it is agreed on by all to pitch in some extra $. If this is okay, I'll send out a mass email to everyone. Just thought I'd confirm it here first.

Here's the email I just sent to everyone, in case there are more that weren't included: We are going to try and have another tournament this Saturday, August 14, 2010 @ 2:00 p.m. at Versus Gaming in Provo. GamerzFunk was too expensive, although the location was ideal for most everyone. Entry fee is $15 for an all-day pass at Versus. Some have mentioned that they have passes for a free day, so maybe we could divide up the total cost amongst everyone. Of course, it's up to those that have the passes. Just as a suggestion, we could use the difference in money to go towards a prize for 1st and 2nd places (80/20). Anyway, based on the thread on teamliquid.net, there's not very many people aware/interested in this, so please spread the word. I only have email addresses for those that expressed interest on teamliquid, so I'm sure there are quite a few others outside of the community that would be interested. Please forward this email to them! Unfortunately, the owner of Versus is out of town until Saturday, so we weren't able to involve them in this tournament, yet again. Organization and rules will be completely up to all of us. Tournament style will be similar to last time: winner and loser brackets (double elimination), best of 3 until finals, which will be best of 5. Winner of winners bracket vs. winner of losers bracket. Loser bracket winner has to beat winner bracket twice. Map pool to be determined by majority vote at Versus. Loser picks map. If you would like, we could all snag a bite to eat at 1:00 p.m. somewhere close to Versus. For those interested, show up at 1:00 and we can all decide where to go. Please reply and let me know if you'll be able to make it. If anyone in SLC would like to meet up and carpool down, I'm cool with that. Reply back and I'll give you my phone #. Hope to you see you all there! gl hf gg If you would like to be included in the email list for tournament updates, PM me and I'll add you. Let us know if you'll be there! Thanks guys and hope to see a good turnout Saturday (Aug. 14, 2010)
