http://utahstreetfighters.blogspot.com/ to post official tourney's and results and such. Then they have their own thread on shoryuken.com to organize the details. Or we can be creative and come up with our own way ![]()

Well, there appears to be a fair amount of people unable to make this Saturday's tournament. So, here's a poll: Poll: Which Saturday would you prefer? August 21st (10) August 14th (2) 12 total votes Your vote: Which Saturday would you prefer? August 14th would not necessarily have a prize pool unless everyone pitched in. August 21st would provide enough time to contact Versus to see if they would be interested in hosting a tournament and perhaps providing a prize pool. I won't be able to make it the 21st, so if this is decided on by majority vote, then someone else will need to call and arrange the tournament. Also, here's another poll: Poll: Where would you prefer to have the tournament? GamerzFunk in SLC (9) Versus Gaming in Provo (8) Another Venue (please post where & $) (0) 17 total votes Your vote: Where would you prefer to have the tournament? (Vote): Versus Gaming in Provo A few pro's and con's to each place: Versus Pro's - Sufficient amount of computers, $15 for all day pass, possible prize pool provided Con's - Far from SLC and not as many participants, due to amount of computers there will be other players there not in the tournament GamerzFunk Pro's - Closer to SLC resulting in more people participating, could be just enough players to have the whole place to ourselves, possible prize pool provided Con's - $10 for 5 hours of play (if tournament goes longer than 5 hours, then cost goes up), if more than 20-ish people show up there isn't enough computers Pardon the long post, but just had to get the details out there. So, here's some food for thought and please respond a.s.a.p. so we can plan out this tournament with enough time. Thanks!

How conflicting is Tuesday for tournament? With it being $5 less for a daypass, we could definitely get a prizepool going. This would only be viable for this tueday (in two days...) which is obviously a bit too short of notice. I think our utah-community should add eachother on sc2 as well and could provide ample opportunity for practicing etc. my character code is 179, name is my forum name. Hopefully this saturday (or miraculously possibly tuesday...?) we'll be able to set something up and have a great time. I've improved like none other since our last encounter... hopefully i won't get humiliated as badly hah. great stuff..

Hi Brandon! I was out of town for awhile and just got your email. We will be planning to have a tournament towards the end of August/beginning of September. You are more than welcome to come and "host" your own tournament among friends at our LAN Center. Friday and Saturday we are open until 2am. Keep in mind that we have a decent number of gamers coming in and play throughout the day. So it might be best to come at opening to select your PCs and be able to secure them. Should you choose to "host" your own tournament, it's best to keep it simple. Each gamer can purchase a daypass and be able to play as long as your tournament lasts. We've had others come in to do there own tournament and we typically dont get too involved. When we plan SC2 (and other) tournaments we try and go all out and round up 40-50 players and it will last all day. So stay in touch for the next one! However, we can contribute some giftcards for your winners. Please email back with any questions you have and I will respond quickly since you D-Day is approaching! Thanks. Whoever is in charge of this Saturday's tournament might want to let Versus know so they can plan on a small prize pool and perhaps reserving computers. Once again, anyone interested in receiving updates on Utah tournaments for SC2, please PM me your email and I'll be sure to add you to the list. I like the idea of doing a blogspot site for updates and information about upcoming tournaments here locally. So, PM if you're interested in helping or have ideas for getting the word out!

Anyone know anything about the thing Versus said they are planning on hosting? One of their emails said end of August/early September but their website has nothing new on it.
