![]() I did the first day of SS (actually I'm doing the "Wichita Falls" version because I want to do pullups/chinups) with dumbbells, and it felt pretty good, but am I going to have to start over when I can start using barbells or can I just continue my progression? My starting numbers were 90-lb squat, 80-lb bench, 7-5-5 chinups (I weigh 130), for reference.

Got 225x10 270x8 300x6 325x6 350x6 and 380x5 on squats, barely squeeked out the last one. Also OHP is starting to feel not really bad on my wrist, but my shoulders are weak as fuck. barely got 5 reps at 135 for my last set T_T And i'm fairly sure its my SI joint i fucked up on my back because the pain is just off center to my left, which is also my non dominant side. It still doesnt hurt while i lift, but i'm probably just aggravating it arent i?

Starting Date: May 1st || Goal Date: End of 2010 Weight goals: 150-160 lbs Training goals: Bench : 180 lbs / Squat : 200 lbs // Deadlift : 210 Nutrition goals: right now im using gomad and drinking quickmass Misc goals: Better sleep schedule. Is it recommended to workout while sick? I have a fever/ huge headache right now and I haven't gone to the gym since friday. I officially started working out on May 1st. At that time I was 118 lbs and couldnt bench more then 60 lbs. I didn't have a workout routine, I would just go on a bunch of the machines and didnt touch any free weights. I had the get bigger arms mentality and would mostly workout on tri/bi/chest. Since the beginning of August I've been doing SS and I think it's great. As of right now I'm benching 155lbs / dumbell press 55's // Squat : 130 lbs // Deadlift 120

My buddy has the same problem, best solution or so he says is to slowly train your shoulder by stretching everyday, using low weight and doing rotations with it. Also if you want to do squats maybe just do Front Squat: The barbell of the weight bar rests on your front shoulders.

Starting Date: 2 years ago || Goal Date: End of 2011 Weight goals: 160 lbs Training goals: Bench : 315 lbs / Squat : 400 lbs // Deadlift :360 Nutrition goals: Using no-xplode, protein Misc goals: Fitness level increase I started weight lifting 2 years ago, and i was a meager 130lbs; i started with 30lb dumbbell press and almost fell off the bench. I have to thank my buddy for teaching me the techniques etc. I currently bench 225x8, squat 80lb bar on bosu ball while balancing (for soccer), and deadlift 225lb fairly easily.

Progress is extremely quick in the beginning though, you'll be adding 10-20lbs to your squat worksets every session for a while, whereas somebody who's already squatting 380 would be lucky to crank that out over the course of a month.

Also, when people say like 200lbs and stuff, is that on each side of the bar? or a total?
