Hi guys,
It's still early in the year and TI 2018 hasn't even been announced officially. But i'm trying to prepare a possible trip to Seattle and attend the event. It would be my first time, so i don't know much about anything (except for the game obviously).
I was hoping some of you could share me your experience, specifically where you stayed. Was it a hotel or an AirBnB or something else, how much did it cost per night.
How is the commute from and to the Key Arena and after that possibly the pubs around the venue. Should i rent a car or take cabs or other forms of public transport?
Preparation can't start soon enough, right? 
Also, i did use the searchtool and even used Google to figure this stuff out, but i couldn't find anything. Should there be a thread already about all this stuff (which i do believe i've encountered last year or the year before that), could you please direct me toward it? Thanks!

Hostel, AirBnb and hotel are all valid, ranges from 20-200 USD (for hostel bed to hotel room) TI is during high season btw.
Uber, buses and train to keyarena are available. Walking is the most convenient for me personally. Bus/train is around 2 dollars iirc. Only rent the car if you plan on going outside of Seattle. There is a train from the airport to downtown (near Keyarena)

LD Staff stayed in an AirBnB last year outside of the city. We definitely needed to rent a car and we did - dunno how that goes for someone that lives outside of the US.
Walking is great in the city to get to food/pubs around the venue. If you stay close enough you probably don't need to rent a vehicle but you will have to balance that out with your ability to quickly ascertain public transit routes to get to where you need to go. Seattle is pretty easily navigable though so it's not a daunting task.
I definitely recommend going for the longest period of time you can, assuming that you are a fan of DotA in general. If you're a single team fan, I don't recommend making the trip unless you're prepared to be disappointed. Meeting people at the venue was a great experience. Talking to random people about DotA is always fun. I had a great time, but I also had no real horse in the race, so to speak.
