Played against a void. Game was decent. His team held well, game went 70 minutes. He had nice farm and came out and carried. Game was close. Next game, I random void. Get AA and lina top with me. Cool, against axe tide. Axe gets harassed down, ducks into side shop to salve, aa follows in and dies. But cool I have him trapped in the choke and am bashing him down. So what does lina do? She waits behind me AS TIDE IS BASHING HER FACE IN just to slave down the axe as he hits 10hp. She of course dies to tide. Following their deaths the two supports proceed to leave me to solo against axe and tide. I get nothing and have to abandon the lane while the rest of their team 3v4's down all the lanes. Lina of course continues to laguna 10hp targets in my chrono as the game goes on. T.T

Part of my enjoyment of playing a game comes from actively trying to get better. But now this has become a trait worthy of scorn?

I find it utterly hilarious there's a large population of dumb and inferior people out there who have actually decided to consider putting forth effort into one's endeavors as something to be considered undesirable.

If you seriously use the word "tryhard" as an insult of any sort, you are the kind of person who will never find happiness, success or anything trait worth admiring.

"Tryhards" become pros and community pundits. People who dislike trying hard become whiny bitches. 'nuff said.

Let them fail. Just keep doing your best and laugh at the fact they are really that much worse than you that their mentality itself is an inferior negative mind.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number of people in dota2 who think that "try-hard" is an insult is rooted in the fact that dota was originally an easy to play UMS game for people who couldn't handle the stress of the wc3 ladder. As a consequence dota has always had a culture of pub games being somewhat for trolling around, not for winning.

The vast majority of the playerbase thinks some people are too "tryhard", the only thing that changes is what they define as tryhard. ES pickers were shunned even by very good players, and noone expects both teams to pick the very best heroes possible every single game in an AP pub. Very few people actually do literally everything they can to win, most pros certainly don`t, people just have diferent definitions how far you can go for the game to still be fun.

No QQ for me lately because no ranked Dota in the last month and just playing casual games with no pressure from myself to win and just have fun no matter what.

Dota ranked pissed me to no ends when im trying to win and there is always someone in your team that will fuck up the game with trolling , intentional feeding because why not and other shennanigans.

I'm never playing ranked untill true solo matchmaking is introduced and see improvment in report system. How there is always someone that wanna mess up ranked experience in half of my games if reports are working ? So sick of playing 5 stacks and then im getting shit from my 4 stack team while they have one decent player and 3 terrible and "obviously" its my fault why we are losing.

I have been experiencing that shit for like 4 years straight now. Even during wc3 dota days when dota 2 was still not around that shit was incredibly irritating.

The good thing though is that if the prophet has good map awareness it pays off. Though most of the time they just feed.

I'm playing Bloodseeker. Its going really well; I've won mid against a Gyro pretty hard and am ganking sidelanes nicely.

I comment offhand to my team: "This is going pretty well. I might get a Lothars."

Member of my team says in allchat: "Lothars???"

Ok...guess I'm NOT getting a Lothars then. >_>

(In fairness we already had an invis hero in Riki so it might have been a bit of a silly pickup; but then again they were pretty bad at killing Riki so...)
