then the solution is to have 4 options: english, chinese, russian, and "shortest wait time". The last one is what most people want anyway, so it will be the fastest (especially if it is selected by default).

I just won a game where we dominated the enemy team the entire game, but two people on my team kept waving their dicks at each other in the middle of it. One guy called out our farming hero, asking where he was in fights. We didn't need him to do anything but farm and get items, and he wouldn't add much to team fights anyway. After that, the farming guy got all defensive. They basically got to the point to where they were just bickering about who had more gold at the time. They wouldn't stop until I had to intervene and tell them both to shut the fuck up and remind them that we had all their towers and already pushing high ground at 15 minutes.
These kind of people would be great teammates if their teams were losing. Sigh.

Laning with a Jugg versus offlane Nyx. It's going well. Then I notice after PMS and Phase he has 1.5k gold saved up. Odd from a pub, but whatever. Then 2k gold. Just played a ranked where Lion and Sand King insta pick then call bot lane, like for fucking real, you have two fucking stuns, if you are stupid enough to duo a lane like that fine but at least take fucking offlane, so they left a riki offlane vs tiny wisp and a mirana safe with them but didn't give her any farm then called us shitty when we lost because we had no damage.
Oh did I mention the SK wouldn't ult and his excuse was "I don't have blink dagger"

Just played with a Naga who never used her ult. She used it once and didn't cancel so our Kunkka whiffed his boat and the Riki couldn't wtfpwn their Clinkz. We told her not to do that (not flaming her). Then she just...never used it. Riki hooked, no ult. But the worst is when we're all running. No ult. Our Riki's itemization was complete shit, but the Naga singlehandedly threw away a game where we were 21-9 with three more towers taken than the enemy by minute 20.

easiest way to use song in pubs effectively is vs enemy big ults, warlock golems tide ravage medusa gaze.... Just pop it when right after they do and re engage when their bad stuff is on cooldown. Initiation songs fail more often that not and there's always someone who never understands when you are trying to use song to run away.

She tried to use an initiation song, and I said not to because we're not coordinated enough. I just wanted her to use it to run away from super bad engagements after two or three of our guys are dead with all 5 of the enemy still up and healthy.

This actually existed, it was the original solo queue. Wait times were like 15 minutes and it was exclusive, unlike the updated solo queue, so you could be sure that literally every person in your game had the patience to queue for that long. Exclusively English, not one rager in the time I played it.
They should add an option where you can opt to sit through a ten minute wait in order to only play with people who also chose to sit through it. Instant good teammates.

That doesn't make sense.
The issue for people who want English only is not that they are ticking other languages, they are willing to wait, it is that other people who want the shortest wait time tick for every language. That's how shortening the wait time works, you widen your preferences. The only way shortest wait time could work is if it put them in with people of any language which is exactly the problem we're trying to avoid. Just creating a button called "short wait time" doesn't actually create a system to shorten wait times.

The problem is that it also dilutes the player pool, which affects not only people who decide they want to wait for the ideal setup, but also the experience of those that don't.
Besides, a lot of the problems people complain about in terms of matchmaking are far from objective to begin with.
See, when 90% of the playerbase claims to only want a team of "their" skill level that doesn't rage, and yet that almost never seems to happen, it can only mean two things: the matchmaking service is intentionally rigged to ruin your experience, or you're not being very honest with yourself when it comes to your own play and behavior.

Holy fuck this game is terrible, relying on 4 other people to not be complete morons makes my fucking blood boil. Even when I play good my team fails, so not only am I working on my skill I have to rely on 4 other people to not be mouth breathers before it even matters what I do unless I completely outclass everyone and carry the entire game.
I think I'm done with this fucking game, this isn't fun anymore.

Find people that arent bad. Honestly the only way i play know is with people i know. When i solo queue i expect to be picking up the slack of other teammates who dont care. The best way to get out of that is by talking to the people who are actually good and who care on your team and grouping up with them and then stomping the pub slime you where just playing with.

Thats very true and I think that might be the problem in most cases where people say they are stuck in a pool of people who are much worse then them. In WCIII there was no match making so you had to literally play with people from every skill level and that became frustrating, so now that there is a matchmaking service that does match you with semi equal counterparts i definitely notice it. I just think some people think they are next level and outclass even some pros when they are not even the top of their bracket in MMR.

I honestly have zero online friends so everything I do is "solo queue" I think this is a strong case to stick to single player games I guess since I wouldn't even know where to start making friends.
