So guys what you would do in the following situation: Me Lina+ AM, safelane vs solo weaver. Our jungle enigma killed the pullcamp twice, and I think blocked it from spawning a seconds time (I told him to leave for me it after he cleared it the first time). I had bought wards, cour, and just one set of tangoes, as weaver bought more regen than me. Anyway I could not force weaver out of lane (I stunned him 2-3 times early on, but AM did not feel the need to blink and burn some of his mana), could not leave the lane as AM would get dominated, and could not pull until ~ 4 mintues in, giving weaver easy lvls while myself being underleveld. Is there anything I could do, apart from buying more regen?
Oh and I think it was this enigma in the same game who went ring of protection->blink dagger and never had mana for any of its spells when needed.

Probably no good solution to that unless you can get help with a weaver-gank. Though if you feel you cant push the weaver out of the lane it might be a good idea to leave it. Yes, AM gets a harder time but the idea is you make up for your lack of presence (which is fairly useless anyway) safelane on another lane through kills/whatever. Just sitting there watching AM farm, even if you create a safety net for him which secures him a few extra last hits, isnt really worth a full player for. Plus you're soaking exp. That is, of course, supposing you can find yourself more useful elsewhere, which isnt always the case.
I play lots of offlane and anytime I see a support just sit there staring at his carry farming I consider it, well maybe not a win, but a semi-win at least.

Played a game where our safe lane drow and warlock lost to a solo earth spirit. Earth spirit finishes with 19-0, how terrible you must be to lose that bad :[

It depends, you absolutely can't let AM solo vs weaver, specially once weaver has a level advantage. In fact you can't let any melee hero solo vs weaver except really strong 1v1 like DS or timber. The solution did not depend on you as lina in this situation, but from enigma, if you bought sentries it's very possible to kill weaver with eidolons + double stun. My trick to have money for sentries + obs is to not buy the chicken as someone will feel forced to buy it whereas if you buy chicken + obs no one will ever give you blue wards. Anyway AM loses his lane at least 80% of the time in pubs as he has such a low lane presence so don't feel too guilty.
My QQ : wtf with all OD pickers? They act like their gods amongst men because they won their lane with OD, be it on my team or the ennemy team, they always act like assholes. I don't think there are any other hero with that many heavily favored 1v1 matchup...

Anyway AM loses his lane at least 80% of the time in pubs as he has such a low lane presence so don't feel too guilty. Well, the question was from the Lina perspective. Of course in a perfect world where everyone knows all intricate parts of dota strategy and know exactly how to play, there would always be help coming from either the jungler or someone else in that case. The question is what you do if it doesnt, which pubs will probably be the case more often than not. Even though it rightfully might be someone else responsibility to come help that doesnt mean you shouldnt optimize your own play. "My team mates dont play optimal -> i can now stop giving a single fuck" is once again common pub-reasoning.
From a broader strategy perspective, if you're on a losing laning stage, then you wanna shake it up or end it. Create movement. Gank. Group up 3/4 people somewhere and threaten a tower. Take the tower if they dont defend. Smoke. Move around. Etc. Keeping a losing laning stage (which we can only assume it was in the above example) static is just gonna get you further behind.

...Beyond level three, sure! Before that, wouldn't he have to be ten million miles from the creeps at all times or risking a painful rightclick-induced death? On one hand, all it takes for the Kaolin to succed is the dual lane playing passive, but on the other hand he's still a new hero and not everyone will understand when he's weak and how to play against him.

Why do people always try to run a 4 core line up? It's also embarrassing with a support has more GPM and XPM than a carry...
http://dotabuff.com/matches/411526768
This game, I played Shadow Shaman and for the love of God, I enjoy playing support BUT not when our carries do not have a brain. I ganked, rotated, TPed in to counter initiate, saved people, had a few misplays (I was so stupid for TPing bot to push the wave... I should have saved the TP as someone got ganked 2s after I got it under another tower, so stupid for getting caught a few times by spirit breaker but I barely got away a few times). Our early-mid game was great. My friend the invoker was 9 - 1. Our team fights were atrocious - I suggested to the entire team to get a BKB as one of their first pick ups if we want to team fight early. I spent the entire game debating with Tusk as to why a BKB was needed on him - his response was "it's only Lion and Lich." He gets blown the hell up by them. My reasoning behind the BKB pick up was to mitigate the nuke damage from lich, lion, some of spirit breaker's, avoid disables and slark's annoying crap and the orchid clinkz would inevitably build. Other two are too stupid to even listen and proceed to feed early game, mid game and late game, not to mention barely getting any farm at all and roaming around for no goddamn reason. I outfarm Drow and Spectre as a support roaming and almost out level both of them... I don't know why we had an instant drow pick, followed by spectre. Tusk wants to carry as well. He was the only one with farm at least... but no brain and still thinks Tusk can absorb all those magic nukes + physical damage from the Clinkz. Tries to build it too late... Their supports are heavily farmed and I've been spending money on sentries because I hate using a gem especially when we're split up (I could argue I spent way too much money on sentries).
Edit: forgot to mention... why don't people carry at least 1 TP scroll when they're on the map?

Nooooo! I have a 90% loss ratio the past two weeks. I finally get in a game we're winning. We have a set of rax down and about to push in again..Lost connection to dota 2 network. Try to reconnect: Couldn't reconnect to server.

TP has no stats and the active doesn't hurt the enemy. Why would you get one of those silly things?
Honestly though its basically a mark of telling if someone knows how to play or not - whether or not they sometimes buy a TP and keep it in their inventory when they're out and about.

Boy, it's so frustrating when nobody wants to get their scrolls (90% of the time :S), either because they are cheap (it is only 135 gold, ffs!), or because they are lazy / don't want to listen. It is really annoying to loss towers against one or two heroes because nobody can get there in time (or worse, they walk through half the map trying to defend, obviously in vain).
Another thing I really dislike it is when the support doesn't want to get wards / courier / dusts / mek. I like to pick supports, but yesterday somebody picked Venomancer and Lion before I made my choice, so I decided to go carry. Lion simply refused to talk / listen. When I told Venom that we needed him to set wards, he replied "sry bro, but I hate to play the support role" and played as carry. We died horribly.

Have anybody have that teammate before who just doesn't say a single word and throws a game by sheer stupidity and not listening?

Brazilian (on US servers) Rubick so I pick a clinkz since we needed a carry. He ends up not buying courier or wards. Takes my last hits (I had 15 at 10 minutes). We we're laning vs a fucking solo antimage and no kills because it's all about that last hit rubick. Final straw is he got a midas.

So because I'm trying out a character I rarely play I deserve it? No need for insulting me, thanks.

Final straw is he got a midas. u deserve it when u cant out last hit rubick as clinkz I don't care what hero you have, when your support tries to steal the last hits, it becomes very hard to do. I don't care if its clinkz v max str morph. You have to change the point at which you finish the creep to be earlier than you want (and a lot of times you'll leave it with ~10 hp), you start worrying about both the deny coming from the enemy and the rubick attack coming in. When I play a farming role, and the support is actively trying to last hit, I probably start missing more than 50% of the last hits. It just changes the rhythm of the last hits.
