ok, solo Q cm, I pick a strat with ursa/venge/sd-od-ld, and we go for a level 1, 5 man rosh tp attempt. we have salves, and it seems like its going to be a really really easy roshan, we were gonna give all the exp to the ursa, and we were gonna rape their lifestealer trilane...

Playing some bots with a friend that's slowly transitioning from lol to dota. Get into a match random OD think sweet I can crush the mid bot and at least carry hard if I need to. Rental pub 1 picks lich goes mid as well goes 2 points Ice Blast into max Ice Armor doesn't say a word and around level 3 and then heads top when he realizes he can't contest last hits. Now the other idiot we got holy hell. Starts off by calling everyone Niggers (I can't stand the word with a passion) then starts calling me a faggot (one of my best friends is openly gay and I make it a point to deck anyone that uses the word) because I randomed and didn't pick. And of course like any good moron does he continues the entire game throwing out those two words. Well there goes my friends opinion on the dota community being the generally more pleasant one

Got flamed while playing alchemist because i wanted to get my bkb (that was finished) before fighting, asked my team to retreat but they decided to go into their jungle as 4 and fed their ursa and ultra-kill with track. Yeah, they probably had a better late game but it doesn't mean that i don't need to farm a least a couple item before we push and try to end the game...

The good thing though is that i faced one of the guys who flamed me in the next game. He was playing weaver, i was playing elder titan (random).
We got destroyed early game (we had a sven that was having a really bad game) but unlike the game before, we had someone on voice chat talking in russian-english trying to coordinate the team, warding, buying detection etc (he was also calling everyone noob but it was more funny than anything ^^). This time, eventhough our situation was probably worse we kept playing despite having no tower left against them with all their t2 up, and it turns out that it's very very difficult to go high ground against a team that has dark seer, gyro, sven, lion and elder titan.
Despite being so behind in farm we managed to win the fights, we also picked off this cocky weaver when he tried to split push and we ended winning the game.
Weaver ended up blaming pudge this time, some people never learn ^^.

What people still complain about that? Devs specifically stated that it's intended and they are not changing it. Also this isn't the first time Na'Vi used this in huge tournaments. They used the EXACT SAME combo in earlier TI's. it's more of the Chinese mentality of playing passive; Tongfu didn't try to engage in an obvious 5 vs 4 fight when pudge is all the way back in fountain.

Also I'm pretty sure fountain hooking worked in WC3 Dota but you needed a Wisp or KotL. Another note is the old send back impetus that instantly kills anything on the map. Fountain hooking is not a guaranteed kill like the send back impetus since the pudge hook can miss, and the team that tries it must fight 4 vs 5 if engaged on. There are more dumb "exploits" in this game like pooling Mercurial items, which is insanely powerful that just lets you do full team wipes.

There were complaints of fountain hooking ins the OSL grand final thread. I just wonder what they would think of non intended BW play.like muta stacking, mineral walking, ramp egg blocking, dragoons moving down a ramp etc etc

Lol this. I can't believe people are mad at that strategy. A team does something unique that no one else ever attempts in a competitive game, on the grandest stage, and people bitch about it. The strategy's not even remotely overpowered. Why not just enjoy the game instead of complaining : S.

I really think some have noticed this QQ in the in-game guild chat.
I snowballed 15-0 on a .. pretty much mid-to-low bracket normal matchmaking. Randomed Anti-Fun.

This was my item build: Bfury -> Treads -> Manta -> EoS — Wait. I just realized 10 minutes after building it that AM's mana-burn does not stack with any attack modifiers. Which means.. I didn't happen to slow anyone at all. Quickly sells it and replaced with HoT. Meh.
15-0, and I felt very, very dumb, for the very first time.

There was always a fair amount of Pudge pickers, but there is even more after Na'vi. Except they don't hook shit and are 4 levels behind of the rest in midgame.

Sounds like one of my friends. She also regularly loses mid as Batrider and goes things like Urn, Hood, or Vanguard with no Blink ever.

She's learning though.
