The same goes for any hero with a remove-from-play disable. OD, SD, even voker's tornado and euls have the problem. Not always true, though true in about 80% of cases. The problem with it is you have to be an absurdly good judge of how a fight is going to decide how and when to use it and really, really need to know the limitations of the ability. Ideally you need to be the one calling the shots on your team. I've pulled off and seen pulled off some great uses of these kind of abilities (Naga is one of the heroes I'm most comfortable with, for example, and I have a good record with her; and I've had my arse saved by some amazing OD and SD disables before today too), but on the flipside the majority of people just flat out cannot read a fight. At all. They just blindly hit abilities and screw up everything. Naga's ult is amazing and incredibly versatile. But it can screw your own team over SO BADLY with a misuse in a way few other ults can. You might screw up your own ult on other heroes, but I think only Naga can wreck EVERYONE'S ult at once. I'd also throw Disruptor's Glimpse in there actually. Glimpse can both cost you a kill and win you a kill. Its all in the use of it. I find glimpse rather easy to use. My real nightmare is void. Besides it seems that if someone picks SK in the ennemy team one will pick void in my team. It remembers me a real fail I did with a void, I used flamebreak too late to cancel SK ulti, sent him in my team and void insta ulti this. MULTIKILL Oh don't get me wrong. Glimpse isn't TERRIBLE, that is to say it rarely totally ruins teamfights. But it CAN save enemies that you didn't intend to save. QQ just now: Team full of newbies except me, one other guy on my team and maybe two on the enemy team. My team had one job. ONE...GODDAMN...JOB. Don't feed. I'm on Dusa. Give me 45 minutes straight farm and their whole team just dies. Their other team was pretty much ignoring me farming out the jungle at the 20 minute mark so cool, I'll get there soon enough. Nope lets feed them thirty kills before we even get into the double digits. I've been on such a bad loss streak I'm actually below 50% again now...AND I've been dumped out of consistently High with Very High showings down to Normal/High mixed on that account. Guess I should start on my other account again...but I just don't know. I actually need help at this point the loss streak is killing me. Why do people play so BAD? Remove AP, twice longer time to queue, twice less shitty matches.

I haven't played AP in about six months. This is SD, RD and occasionally I queue AR.
Proportionate game quality was great until about last week.
Edit: Just checked. Last 15 matches: 3 wins 1 abandon 11 losses
Sup matchmaking.

Randomed Slark, someone else randomed Spectre. My one friend was the only one who hadn't picked, and after reminding us how reluctant he was, picked Puck to "support". And buy "Support", I mean wait as long as possible to buy a courier, complain about being a solo support every time he has to buy wards, and brags endlessly when he gets a kill.
W/e I have to go hang out with Spectre on safelane, but it's a solo void, so I'll have a field day. Grab quick PMS, boots, and OoV so he can't trade hits and hides under tower, no exp. Spectre is going to town on the farm. Before 5 minutes buys Treads in one shopping trip. Void has a stout shield and 2 branches. All's well, I TP top to help countergank, we go to push and Spectre ults, and warps in with her 12 minute VANGUARD. All that work I did for nothing. After I facedesk, my friend tries to convince me that Vanguard is mandatory on Spectre, every game, no questions asked. That's heretical about every non-boots item, but VANGUARD. I swear he shares his account with his similarly accented down syndrome twin.
Spectre then went on to spend no money until she bought a 40 minute Radiance. 40 minutes of treads-vanguard.
He would then tell me to never pick Slark again when I made an Orchid later because they had 3 people who needed to be silenced, and I like attack speed+mana. Then went on to make a big deal about how smart it was to follow up with a basher.
And while he simultaneously fanboys over Na'vi and convinces me that it's my fault I get blown up in fights because "Supports don't need items, Na'vi won a tournament with their Rubick having only boots", is convinced that going Diffusal on Juggernaut against Medusa and Leoric is almost report-worthy. He can be so goddamn Russian when he tries.

Yes, I'd rather spend 2 days in low priority than play a whole game with you.

I've seen people with 1000 wins be completely clueless about the very basics of dota. I like to think that there are 2000 losses behind those wins, but who knows. Still though, there are people in bronze league in sc2 with equal amounts of games played. I think there are a bunch of people who just completely turn off their minds when they're playing, so they're not learning anything or actually getting any better. Its like a bot after a while. You just "play", nothing more, nothing less.

omfg, i just played with a shit tone of ppl that have had 600+ games played and they had no fucking idea what they were doing... sometimes i just wonder how the fuck u can be so clueless. Had a pudge that didnt hitm 1 hook in the entire game. A losing streak as well too.

Classic case of seeing something on a stream, not knowing why it works, but still blindly doing it.

I usually don't post QQ, but it deserves it. Someone first picks abbadon, then leshrac and ursa, I'm waiting to get a good pick, abbadon says mid, ok so I will play a shadow shaman. And then obviously the last one picks 1 min after the game started a pudge... Well game goes even for 50 mins (don't ask me how) against alch, sf, visage, furion, nyx. Unfortunately we lose 2 sides because guys were chasing in the jungle, basically a game ending move against a furion.
Whatever this is a loss, game was actually pretty good, when abbadon suddenly decides to randomly report me and leshrac because we were defending in base and killing the furion who was backdoring while they was all dying chasing (again) : "gg noob afk fountain report". What ?

Before the creeps even spawned, our bara had this to say about our Luna:
+ Show Spoiler +
She proceeded to go the aura/blades/stats build into a Mask of madness into butterfly, into dying lategame. It was a rough game.

What happens? I've (obviously) never even thought to do it. Does the ulti just not trigger?
I also enjoy that Luna's profile picture is nothing but boobs. Wd Valve.

It uses the current level of Lucent Beam. So if its not skilled well, it doesn't do any damage. I believe it still does the animation though.

Well, if you have a Night Stalker on your team I guess it will help him out

I hate it when I play hard 5 (like I always do) and everyone else decides to play 1. Solo supporting duties while the other team gets wards and dewards from 3-5 and you're pretty much blind the whole game.
Had one Luna in our team who got Shadow Blade when he knew damn well that our wards were going out because the Rubick on the other team had Gem. .__.

This doesn't apply to the guy I quoted, because I don't know him, but most of those friends tend to be the ones doing stupid shit when I play with them, and rather than sit down and work on improving they just assume they should be in better, more co-ordinated games while their MMR sits in normal.
