No, my newbie friend(learned to play a month ago) says it's stupid to leave a game.
It's 4v5 and their team is fed as fuck, what the hell is he expecting?
I find it EXTREMELY disrespectful when people don't leave in this situation. Apparently, it's respectful to stay in game for him.
The fuck?
How is that disrespectful at all? Maybe he just wants to play the game out. I fail to see your logic jump.
You're basically saying "fuck you for wanting to finish a game. Quit being so disrespectful, just leave." Sorry, that's not logical at all. I've played plenty of games through where people leave.

i really dislike teammates who doesnt finish the game. its also reflects your attitude towards other things, whatever the chance, even so minute, i wont give up a game
(unless no stats is recorded then fuck it)

Unorthodox builds are the best. Especially those who blindly follow some kind of random guide you've found on the net. Best one I've seen so far is 12x gg branches on sylla bear. He was going for radiance as his first big item and absolutely nothing in between except those branches. He still didn't have it 40 minutes in.

Man, try to actually think before you assume that something isn't logical, he didn't actually explain why he found it disrespectful, there are plenty of valid reasons to not want to stick around in a lost game.
For example, I work full time, there is only a limited amount of dota that I can play on a weekday, I'd rather spend as much of that time playing a decent game rather than trying futilely to win when it's 4v5 and the other team is extremely fed. Sure if it was a close game by all means it's worth a shot, or sometime you just feel like messing around seeing if you can get some pick offs for fun but logically, if there is no chance of winning and nothing to lose from leaving then leaving makes more sense.
I wouldn't go as far to say that it's inherently disrespectful either way, but I don't find any joy in winning a won game, or losing a lost game, so I would much prefer that the game ends sooner rather than later, and if a teammate abandons and we are clearly going to lose, I take that as an opportunity to speed up the process.

I find it most disrespectful towards the 5man team. Playing 5 vs less than 5 is boring as shit. If there's still a chance for the enemy team to win i can forgive them but otherwise it's just really bad mannered to stay.

Well yeah, I should say that coming from Sc2 originally, where it is disrespectful to stay in the game too long after you have lost, that it is something that I have/might consider disrespectful, mostly just because it wastes the time if your opponents, but I think that comes from the mentality that you want to be playing something competitive for it to be meaningful (ie not a waste) but I can understand that some people just enjoy the actual act of playing, which is why I don't say that it is inherently disrespectful.

It's bettere than having a furion that Cliff Jungles , Maxes sprout and teleport over Treants and TP's in front of the enemy(not near or around them , Goddamn right on top of their zeus and then dies)

i'm new and all but if you literally quit a coop vs bot game vs easy bots you're like
a bitch
straight up
its one thing if you have to leave and all (even though you should've made time to play) but you're leaving because you died (you're new too it happens) it's like, fuck you, son. you're new. so is the rest of us. we all gonna die to a bot, grow up and stop crying because you died
also its sad that i'm the only new player doing the tutorial limited pick game vs. humans. everyone else is people who have been playing for a while just trying to get the items from it. "omg this guy sucks" why do you think i am playing the tutorial you butt bandit

Not quite serious QQ related to the last two posts. I recently got my girlfriend to start playing dota, probably a couple of weeks ago, started off with some lobby games, then moved on to Co-op Bot games so she could find out about the wonderful community of dota players and feel like she is making progress by earning levels and finding items.
Last night she sends me a picture while I'm on the way home asking, "What are these guys doing? They pinged a bunch of times so I came over but they told me to go back to lane, are they just farming? I asked them what they were doing but they wouldn't tell me so I got angry and left the game" The picture was of a Natures Prophet, Mirana and Qop all sitting on the radiant hard camp cliff.
I couldn't help laughing when I saw the picture, as I told her they were probably just griefing and probably doing it for the random drops and xp because surely no one could possibly believe that triple cliff jungling is a legitimate strategy. I had a similar experience with her another night, though with a single Batrider in the dire jungle that was literally afk all game except for buying items, and a Furion on the radiant cliff that occasionally came out to push a tower or get some kills.
It makes me wonder if there are people out there using multiple accounts to farm random item drops, abusing the fact that many people who play bot games might not even know how to report (not that it matters since they could easily make a new account). Not that I think this is a huge deal, except that if there are 3 players doing it at the same time, that kind of ruins the game for the other two players and they can't leave without getting an abandon, though if I was in the game I would've blocked the camp in the hopes that I could make one of them abandon haha. Not to mention I'm sure Valve wouldn't like people gaming the system like that.
Anyone else experienced or heard of this?

I keep telling myself I'll stop picking support heroes, that it wasn't fun last game and it won't be this time. But sure enough, no one gets picked, and I waste another potentially fun 30-50 minutes hoping "maybe this time it'll be different".
And it's not. I could lose as a 20-death Veno or win with a Rubick stealing Bara spells. And as I indifferently watch PL and Drow and Puck go winning, I lift their one guy, give him a zap, and the satisfaction's just not there. I've said it before, maybe this time I'll listen.
From atop their pile of 4000 gold, they'll cry "Wards!", and I'll look up at them and say
"нечто бессвязное"

It is so astonishingly difficult for me to win a pub game where I'm not carrying. Good lord, who knew last hitting creeps was so hard. How does a safelane PA get 5 kills, a couple assists, and essentially a free lane for 23 minutes and come out with phase boots, a battlefury, and literally nothing else.

Anyone else experienced or heard of this? My gf plays only coop vs bot, farming kotl, rush mek, shadowblade, BoT. She also likes veno, spam wards from safety, hoping to get lucky last hits. Even as solomid, she trails behind in XP because she's so far from creeps. She also dislikes people spamming "mana" in chat when she plays kotl,

NVM UPDATE it's impossible to win games. My huskar mid lost to a venomancer (after I swapped him. post-giving-veno-first-blood "oh huskar dont got damage anymore"). My offlane weaver lost to a solo PA. Our bot trilane couldnt successfully dominate an earthshaker/spirit breaker, had awful lane control, and a dazzle who fought to the death for every last hit from my sven. He missed most of them, but at least I didn't get them either, that would have made the game too easy.

Yea its better the game ends sooner rather than later in a obviously lost 4v5 situation. No point delaying the inevitable wasting everyone's time. The same reason people QQ for fountain camping an obviously won game.
