I really, really hate piece of shit imbeciles who random sniper and tell their teammates to pick a support for them. If you cared shit about winning, you shouldn't random. Why should your team pick an optimal composition around you if you won't even pick an optimal hero for the role you want to play. God fucking damnit. Terminate dota.exe go next. My QQ is about people like you. If you give a shit about optimal team compositions, there's lots of places you can go to play decent, organized matches. If you're lazy, and you want to play dota, and you decide to public match-make, you're going to have to accept that the rest of the world isn't bound to your sociopathic whims. We're not playing the game for you're enjoyment, we're playing it for ours. For people who've played dota for 6-7 years now, randoming throws in a bit of spice. I don't play allrandom myself, because team compositions can become pretty stupid an lead to unfun games, but yeah, if you queue public mm you have to accept that 1-2 people will, on average, random each game. Pick around it. I pick around it. Most people do it, and get by just fine. Hell, I even random quite a bit. The thing about it is that those people who random accept whatever they get, too. They'd be perfectly satisfied randoming a support, and playing the role accordingly. What's the difference if they picked a hero, other than it's not a "tier 1 pick" for that role according to you? Picking only tier one heroes gets really fucking boring after awhile. There's a reason why dota is awesome, and it's because of the sheer variety of hero combinations you can make and use. It's fucking dumb when someone randoms as the last pick on a team when they need a specific pick to make the team viable (e.g. a mid, a hard carry, a support, etc.), but other than that I have no complaints about randoming. It's a part of the game. You don't like it, don't play public mm, or go play random draft/captain's mode, or go scrim in inhouse, or go find friends to play with. Don't bitch at people for enjoying the game in a perfectly legitimate manner and in a way designed and intended in the game. We don't have to satisfy your whims.
I think you've misread something somewhere. I have a problem with people who "want to have fun" by randoming and then feeling they can decide what the rest of their team should pick. I am not the person complaining about a poor composition, I have a problem with people who random (thus making it clear they "want to have fun" and not give a shit about winning") and then demand that the rest of the team picks win% maximising heroes.
It's fine that you want to play casually, but don't think you can decide what the matchmaking system is for and what it isn't for. When people feel like they sometimes want to play serious and sometimes don't, they mess up the team balance system entirely. I am sick of getting randomers in page 1 games who feel they should take on a pro gamer mid with bloodseeker.

I swear to god if I like a hero I'm not allowed to win when playing him or her.
I love me some ezalor and when I play I feel like I usually do well laning but then fall off super hard (as kotl is supposed to) only to watch my team throw. I feel so useless.

I really don't think you can blame a person for saving 30 minute by dodging. When the team chat is full cyrillic and you're being called a son of beach before the game even begins, there's just no reason to stay. Though dodging should obviously be fixed.

Sorry but dodging is still wasting 5-10 minutes of everyone elses' time, and should mean lpq for people who do it.

I think he was talking about Sycamore. People telling you what to pick is BS, dodging games because people randomed is also ridiculous. I really don't think you can blame a person for saving 30 minute by dodging. When the team chat is full cyrillic and you're being called a son of beach before the game even begins, there's just no reason to stay. Though dodging should obviously be fixed. But doing it because people decided that they wanted to random? Sorry but dodging is still wasting 5-10 minutes of everyone elses' time, and should mean lpq for people who do it. It was 3 people in my team. Sorry, but i want to win. Go play Captains Mode.

Not a game related QQ, but very upset that I can't locate more pictures of Hao. He's so pretty. No homo.

Just played the most retarded game in my 2 months of DOTA 2. I am in solo MM, where I usually have awesome games and my team picks Phantom Assassin and Wisp while I pick Magnus telling all I will go mid. I go to the toilet and when I came back I saw the other 2 guys pick Puck and Viper. I'm like wtf and viper already begging to go mid while I tell him i wrote first that I will go mid. Enemy picks are SD, Medusa, Wind, Naix, Slark (Dire). In my mind I am thinking nvm those 2, will be ez game just get bottle arcane go rape them with op rp and then..... wwhwhhwhwhaaaatt da fuuukkkkk *Puck standin mid*. "Hey Puck, I already said that I will go mid, go with Viper". No answer. Well K, so I walk mid with him till the creeps clash with Windrunner at the river till I say "fuck it, nvm puck is also really good mid and maybe he got some special tactics" While me and viper manage to survive the hardlane (against solo dusa), Puck doesnt seem to do well, always low health, getting killed once by Wind and even loosing courier to her. Still till 10 min no Gank or not even a try to move to any other lane. Meanwhile Slark solo kills PA and wisp 3 times ( How the hell is that possible?). Puck gets a DD rune and tries to gank top. While he totally fails to use his spells correctly (dream coil on 1 guy, never used silence) we manage to trade SD for Wisp, Viper, Me and Puck.. Not going even further how the game goes on but it ended 2:34 for the Dire ofc.
How the fucking hell is it possible to not have a brain and think hmm we got Magnus, PA and Wisp what I'm gunna pick hrhrhrhrhrh hmmmmmmmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmm I could support my team with some awesome AEO heroes like Warlock or Tide, this will benefit our team very .... wowwowowowow wait wait I AM DA BOUS SUPPORT FOR FAGS SUPPORTERS ARE SLAVES I AM NOT A SLAVE I WILL CARRY THIS AND KILL EVERYBODY. CAUSE THATS WHAT MAKES ME PRO. MOAAR KILLS EQUALS HIGHER ELO YOLO. VIPER GOGOGOG A MOVE A MOVE EZ PZ. Puck: HMHMHHM that dude said he will go mid with mag. I could jungle so that other dude can solo with some solo hero or pick a support to do a dominating trilane which will give our carr..... W8 WOWOWO DENDI AND ALL THUS COOUL DOTA GUYS ARE MID. I NEED TO GET MID AND THEN WILL WIN THIS FOR OUR TEAM, FOK OFF MAG I WILL MID
I usually look what my mates pick and pick accordingly but I have been playing hardcore supports the last 10 games cuz of INSTA PICK LULZ ME CARRY THIS SHIT PL ANTI FUN picks. And thats why I fuckin get. Ima always play support fag role now. Atleast no worrys from the start of the game about who will buy a courier...

At least that is what i experienced quite often. This is really frustrating if you wanted the role/hero yourself und would have known it better.
You make it sound like people that pick their heroes are always awesome at their particular roles lol.
I feel like I had the opposite experience. I solo queue 80% of the time and probably my first 250 or so games I was always the last pick and picked around the team. What is the result ? I played like 70% of those games as hard support, 25% as jungler or offlane and probably 5% carry and mid.
I don't particularly mind playing support, but it is frustrating to play support in solo queue for 200 games, people that first pick carries or mids think they are awesome but they oftenly are terrible and complete idiots, thus making it frustrating to play support for this kind of people.
As I don't feel I am entitled to tell people what to play or to pick around me, so the sollution is to random first. If i get a support i'll play a support, if I get a carry i'll carry (and I don't think im good or bad at any particular roles, but only on particular heroes, which I just might repick if they come along). I don't want to have to play what some random people in the internet think I should play and I don't think I can tell them what to play either.
Thus, for me either the team talks it out and comes to a role agreement for everyone prior to the picks (which is silly and unreal to expect in AP, if you want this go play CM), or people play whatever they want and deal with it. In the second case I think if the first 2 or 3 people randomed and the other picked around them would be ideal, as it would allow for reasonable team comp and no one would actually impose their heroes on the others.

Just had a game where I was bat rider and ended up participating in every single kill on my (obviously losing) team of beast, naix, wr, and morph. I mean there is so much burst and stun there, how fucking bad do you have to be to need bat rider to get even one kill? Fuck this game sometimes, seriously.

Worst fucking russian trio i've experienced in a long time. Nothing but feeding, building stupid items and fucking around. Please queue where you should and act like a clown there.

This is the second game in a row where I play decently (not even that great~ I'm not good as shown by my 46% winrate) and my team just goes super uber retard mode and loses the game... last game I was skymage and today i was bloodseeker... I started 10-1 as skywrath but no one on my team posted a better line than 1-4 in the mid game (we had 3 carries mind you... our last pick was a sniper pick) and we lost our early game advantage... Today similarly, I was bs and I got first blood~ but then naga ulted past their t2 tower in an attempt to get an enigma who had blink dagger (so the blink just went off cd) and everyone died.. + Show Spoiler +

All game long: 3 teammates speak pretty much 0 English all game (usual QQ but there's a twist, I promise). Tide and pugna buy almost no wards despite the pleas (Tide was actually asking for wards). Chat on the mic in foreign language. Tried to send me (randon pl) mid. anyway trying to communicate but no luck so it was frustrating. Endgame: "lol we trolled them so hard, sniper and pl think we don't speak English, idiots; we're from US/Argentina/whatever, and speak English fine. So trolled!" Duh if you pretend not to speak english in a team game, I'll buy it. Wouldn't expect anyone to be dumb enough to troll like that.
this game sometimes, wtf.

I think I've had more frustrating games with random friend games than the actual solo matchmaking.
Solo MM always pairs me with ppl on my skill lvl lately i think.

I've done it and had a captain ban randomly and pick the worst heroes ever. It was... "fun" playing in an antimage bristleback lane i guess
E: at the guy above, I like the level 12 shadow demon in the 42 minute game

Please queue where you should and act like a clown there. After an abysmal game with a bunch of Russians on US East/West + English, I went on my troll account and queued Russia. Of course we get the standard no courier, no wards, no communication except chat wheel thing. I was going to do the retard item builds but since Timber and I (as Veno) dominated our lane, I decided against it. Especially when their sniper was so awful, he stood in the middle of team fight even after I dusted him. The idiot rushed shadowblade but never did much of anything with it. Not even escaping.
The funny thing was, a few people on the opposing team started talking in All Chat... in ENGLISH! Why-The-Face? People actually speak English on Russian server, and our team is decent - is this for real? Maybe I should queue Russia from now on. I was 11-0-11 even with 200 ping. Though admittedly a fluke since I could easily be placed on the same team as sniper.

Naix with Mjöllnir, Armlet, AC and Basher under the effect of Troll's ulti is so stupid. The animation even looks broken at that point. Even if I play that combo I feel bad. Doesn't matter how much HP you have or how farmed you are, he will murder you within seconds.
