Random draft. Our first pick is a Morphling, other team gets Nyx and PL right away.
Our Sand King and Rubick are butt-buddies and want the safe lane disregarding my protests so we got Morphling mid and Juggernaut/Dragon Knight on the hard lane, fuck me.
Early game ended up sucking, we won some team fights mid-game but got rolled over by PL in the end.

"NO! I HATE WINNING!!!" and off they are, to do their retarded shit, prolonging a game that has been won ages ago. in some cases this even leads to a freaking loss.
baby's first motherfucking carry "I WANT TO GET SIX SLOTTED TEEHEE EXDE EXDE"
Too many people get attached to their characters, especially carries. They've worked on him for 30-40 minutes, and just need that one last item to be complete! They don't play to win, they play for the skinner's box syndrome. HIGHLY annoying.
this is not attachment to you hero, this is people being stupid and clueless as fuck. had YET another game just like that - we're trying to break their T3, we almost get the tower but I die, because our Panda doesnt have blink.Dont think he even considered it as an option. Anyways, as I respawn the rest of my team are still trying to do something but none of them has any mana left. I TP to our bot T2 to push it out and tell them - guys go back and take Rosh next. NOOOOPE FUCK THAT, we wait for all of them to respawn and feed the shit out of them as we try to take a T2 instead. great.
we get Rosh after I insist for it yet again. finally, we can break them with the Aegis. ''guys, wait for Storm to respawn and gather mid to take their raxes" NOOOOPE I need my shiny and sparkling Mjolnir first! This will make my POTM dish out tons of DMG!
we get jumped on. I lose aegis and a second gem.
we lose the game to a dual-mid Magina with something like 20 minute Midas, a dual offlane Shadow Fiend and a solo lane Riki that literally got SHAT ON for the first 20 minutes of the game.
to top it off we got BM'd at the end - ez, noobs, etc.
So far I've concluded that people just...dont like wining at this game, man.Its really strange, but this seems to be the fucking case.If I had to make an analogy with SC2, it would be like playing 3v3 with people who would attack only after they have 200/200 Carriers off one base. They extract their fun from shit that can easily be done against the Computer or bots :/
Lot's of people cannot make the distinction between them doing well+ Show Spoiler +
getting items/kills etc.
and the team doing well, this is what leads to situations like that.
I really hate it when people complain about kill stealing in group fights, especially if the carry gets it.
I've had a game like this with a zeus, did not even ulti to finish low health guys on sidelanes, wtf?! He just went bottle mana boots into dagon, he was like 1 2 1 around min 15, however almost all kills we could grab at this point were track kills for 3 or 4 members of our team, he finished 15 2 14 and 3 reports from our other team members. I had him muted from a previous game but all other mates were fucking crazy about what he said. I unmuted him 20 sec and immediately remuted him after he insulted everyone.
Yesterday I played with 2 friends and we go all random. One of my friends random Wisp and decides to try him for the first time. Skywrath mage in our team rages and says: "Don't fucking play wisp if haven't played him before". Where the fuck is the logic in that? This is public and people are allowed to try out new heroes. That's what all random is for in my opinion (and Least Played). Also, this mage failed miserably mid, so he was in no position to complain.
Sure I can also be frustrated when people play bad, but only when they refuse to accept constructive criticism and act like total douchebags. If you want to try a new hero and say: "Ok, guys. This is my first time with this hero, just so you know", it's fine by me, even if it's not my friend. And also, you can't really complain when people are doing their best. When someone plays bad, I always share my opinion in a mannered way.
just a heads up to all the people out there stuck in normal that are thinking things will get better when you move up to high and very high ----- they don't

How is randoming any different from your point of view to selecting any hero they want? If you didn't see the "X has randomed Y" line, how would you even know they had randomed?
My last 4 games were all lost with a kill difference of 30+. Somehow felt as if 9 persons in the game could have a somewhat equal level but the last was horrible.
Dazzle going down 5 times in the first 5 minutes in one game, Void dying 7 times at minute 11 (and going afk base), Tiny dying three times before 1:00 (first death half a minute before creep spawn and instantly dying when back in lane) and luckily I already forgot the last match. In all matches we could even take one or two fights while defending the base but the atmosphere was so poisened between my teammates that we couldn't comeback.
Let's hope today isn't my day to fail because there is a reason I'm put into those games : /

I really, really hate piece of shit imbeciles who random sniper and tell their teammates to pick a support for them. If you cared shit about winning, you shouldn't random. Why should your team pick an optimal composition around you if you won't even pick an optimal hero for the role you want to play. God fucking damnit. Terminate dota.exe go next.

As long as they're randoming immediately I don't see what's wrong with it. I only have a gripe with people who random if they do it after everyone else has picked a hero, or if they immediately ask who wants to swap them. Seriously...if you're going to random then don't bitch about the hero you randomed. I swear most people just do it for the random gold....so glad that's being changed next patch.

My QQ is about people like you. If you give a shit about optimal team compositions, there's lots of places you can go to play decent, organized matches. If you're lazy, and you want to play dota, and you decide to public match-make, you're going to have to accept that the rest of the world isn't bound to your sociopathic whims. We're not playing the game for you're enjoyment, we're playing it for ours. For people who've played dota for 6-7 years now, randoming throws in a bit of spice. I don't play allrandom myself, because team compositions can become pretty stupid an lead to unfun games, but yeah, if you queue public mm you have to accept that 1-2 people will, on average, random each game. Pick around it. I pick around it. Most people do it, and get by just fine. Hell, I even random quite a bit.
The thing about it is that those people who random accept whatever they get, too. They'd be perfectly satisfied randoming a support, and playing the role accordingly. What's the difference if they picked a hero, other than it's not a "tier 1 pick" for that role according to you? Picking only tier one heroes gets really fucking boring after awhile. There's a reason why dota is awesome, and it's because of the sheer variety of hero combinations you can make and use.
It's fucking dumb when someone randoms as the last pick on a team when they need a specific pick to make the team viable (e.g. a mid, a hard carry, a support, etc.), but other than that I have no complaints about randoming. It's a part of the game. You don't like it, don't play public mm, or go play random draft/captain's mode, or go scrim in inhouse, or go find friends to play with.
Don't bitch at people for enjoying the game in a perfectly legitimate manner and in a way designed and intended in the game. We don't have to satisfy your whims.
If you random you basically say you are willing to play every role and that you dont care about what role you play. But in AP there are people who might want to play a specific role (or dont want to play a specific role) - those pick.
So I agree that someone who randoms has no place to tell someone else what he should pick. And it doesnt really matter when he randoms. Of course he's free to random, I wont complain about that.
But I will complain about randomers who then try to force their teammates into specific roles which those dont want to play.
I really don't see a diference between randoming a specific role and picking a specific role. If you random a mid hero, you are "forcing" your team to pick around it in the same way someone that picks a mid hero would, if two people random a carry and a mid hero, it results in the exact same situation as two people picking a mid and a carry.
You are always "forcing" other people to adapt to your picks if you do them before they do it, random or not is completelly irrelevant. Unless you believe everyone should discuss what hero each player will pick and decide as a group how everything will work out, which makes absolutely no sense in an AP pub.
There is no diference between randoming a hero and insta-locking a hero. Random is actually more likely to give you a support and not force you to pick a support than the average picker.
Yes, only that those people who random a specific role which leads to the role not being playable for anyone else then, have a tendency to horribly underperform because they randomed and dont know shit about their hero/build/playstyle. At least that is what i experienced quite often. This is really frustrating if you wanted the role/hero yourself und would have known it better.
