Because then you'd end up with situations exactly like you describe where you can't do anything because "its my courier! I bought it! Go buy your own" from people who doesn't understand that this is a 5 man team game, and not singleplayer vs bots. When you buy a courier, its not yours. Its the team's. Everyone can use it equally, and thats the way it should be. Bottlecrowing mid on pubs is actually looked as quite a rude thing to do, because you'll be using the courier 100% of the time, while every other lane will lose out on xp, gold and kills because they couldn't get their items. I get that you don't like that the solo mid has to buy a courier, because thats absolutely retarded and will slow your farm massively. But that doesn't mean you should slow everyone elses as well, ESPECIALLY not the carry's. | ||

I got tinker. My promate got OD. My sucky mate got Shadow Shaman. We play Dire. My promate says I should farm ancient with army of bots (or w/e the skill is called), wihch I do, albeit unsuccessfully cuz im a total nub at the strat and don't know how to do it. My promate goes mid with OD and goes kind of even vs BM. My nubmate goes top with some guy, cant remember what hero. They feed kills to a solo Barathrum, hes got like 5-0 after 10 mins. Now here's the funny part. We're up against a 4man stack + 1. The solo dude plays DK and goes bot with a trilane made of Jakiro and Ogre Magi part of the 4man stack. They are up against a solo slark(since I'm running Tinker ancient farming). The 2 supports abandon lane to farm jungle. Slark and I gank the DK. The other team, i called them tryhards cuz we were in the lowest of brackets due to my nubfriend being a nub, the other team wards my ancient... Oh well no matter, I'll just gank then. I gank mid once and we kill DK 3 times. DK abandons with a "FUCKING NOOB STACK NO SUPPORT", which was true, really. The supports just farmed the jungle and came straggling with their 280 MS 10 seconds after we ganked DK. Bara proceeded to kill my nubfriend top 3 more times. Game ended at like 15-20 min with 8-15, only kills on their team was a Bara with 8 kills, all the others had negative stats, no assist. (I had most kills in my team with 5-0 tinker, only LVL 5!) If you gonna ward the ancient pullcamp, be ready to support your carry in lane! Fun times guys, fun times. | ||

Someone that will say "Go buy your own" courier is likely to hide/destroy(can you still?) your items out of spite anyways with that type of attitude. Might as well buy another one that is not shared with him so this asshole can't do this stuff. As for bottlecrowing I just decided since noone is upgrading bird, the time difference spent bottlecrowing+sending item is still shorter than the courier just crawling all over the map and therefore justified(probably not in hindsight but they pick 3x carry and one OgreMagi who didn't do any support shit). They play just doing whatever the hell they want. So I did the same. Bottlecrowing is also not using courier 100% if you are considerate enough to let them send the item over before picking up bottle on the way back which was what I did.. well for the 2 trips before the asshole dropped my bottle in the jungle somewhere anyways | ||

Well anyway, I see that their bounty hunter and nyx are getting out of control as they are respectively 4/0 and 2/0/5, and the overall score is 10-2. At this point I realize that I have absolutely no way to get to battlefury and farm the map, and that I need to join in teamfights asap to stop the bleeding. It works more or less, as I transition into vanguard instead of bf. We're still far behind but I participate in every teamfights trying to drag the game to late game. Unfortunately despite my best efforts bh and nyx keep getting picked off, and half of my team is trying to prevent me from getting any farm. Enchantress steals the creeps that i'm farming in jungle and takes my last hits with impetus. When i tell her to stop as our only chance is to get me enough farm to outcarry them late she tells me that i'm not participating anyway...) and our NP that rushed aghanim is spamming his nuke making it impossible to farm. So long story short, we manage to drag the game but they end up way too rich with track and more overall farm, and we eventually lose the game. My teamates blame me for the loss because according to them i was not participating in teamfights... | ||
