Fuck this guy. Tbh, who were you expecting to offlane if you told the last guy to mid? Gyro's really a pretty sensible mid, and a pretty damn average off. Doesn't sound like you had anything else. He sounds like a tool, sure, but... gyro and aa were going duo. We aren't in a level where people know how to trilane, and gyro+aa were skype-buddies.
Oh, right. Yeah that's fair enough.

If there's a duo in my server and they construct a non-retarded lane, I'd rather they go together. Given equal heroes, a skype duo is likely to coordinate better than two randoms, and won lanes are won games in pubs. Of course, they should tell people what they're doing, and be smart enough to not take AM & riki.
It's also worth pointing out that the fraction of AP pubs who even look at the other picks before selecting is very low. At least 1 player per game will wordlessly and obliviously last pick sniper/drow/riki/bh so they don't get "counterpicked", and about 1 per two games will flick through heroes until creeps spawn and then random when they can't decide.

I'm personally of the opinion that if you random you should random as the first or second pick on your side of the board, just because the possibility of like randoming a 5th carry is too horrifying to imagine
and i don't need to imagine it-- I've seen it.

if you random a 5th carry then just role as a support
5th position Kunkka was pretty fun :>

I bought a rapier, then I disconnected within 5 seconds with 2 guys on the other team beside me, one of whom had a blademail

Oh absolutely. Last-pick randoms infuriate me so much it's almost the only "you're bad" thing I've been known to report people for. It just shows an utter and complete disregard for everyone else on your team.

Holy crap, yesterday i have played with an invoker who had 1xblades of attack and 1xGG branch after 20 minutes of a game. His score was 0-6 and i was sure he must be on LSD or something.
However i found what was the deal after the game...The MM doesn't stop surprising me. I have over 700 games played and yesterday i got matched with a guy who played his first game in Dota 2. Everything suddenly made sense and i felt bad for flaming him, but still pretty pissed. How can this bullshit even happen is beyond me.
Also i really hate people who pick support and then contest last hits, push the lane by autoattacking creeps, have no idea what does stack&pull mean and finally manage to flame carry for not having farm.

I just had a game where we got stomped. Reverse QQ, we communicated well, no one flamed, no one was offended by others's tips and advices and it was a great game.

Play Single Draft. Have to pick Silencer to support because lol team carry. Buy a courier, get sent to solo offlane. It's okay, they put Nyx and Slardar vs me. 2 Melees so i win my lane. We get a kotl to support a carry (forgot which one) bot, Lycan jungling and NS mid. NS does decently mid, goes to gank offlane, we get kills. Everything great, right? LOL f**k no. Lycan does some "ganking" and they die 3v2 like three times. 15 mins into game enemy offlaners start raping everyone, and since none of my teammates spoke english, they just pinged me every time they died. Oh, and the only support item KotL bought was 2 wards at the beginning, both of which were used to ward the same rune spot in bot at the same time.
Hnnnnnnnnnnng

Had a furion whose build was, I shit you not, 3 in sprout and 2 in teleport. All he would do was tp from radiant leftmost ancient cliff to dire med camp cliff and auto attack for 15 min. He tried to gank (which is all his build is any good for) like twice and fed in both of those attempts so it was like 0-11 8 min in. Ended up winning anyway because I managed to get some farm ancient stacking as drow but I don't get how people have these skill builds after playing so many games...

is it possible to start something like 1-15 (team score) almost every game for 20 games, losing every single lane every single time.
how does a storm spirit go 1-13 laning against an skeleton king....how is that remotely possible? the games are over within 5 minutes but i have to sit there and try for the next 30.

This happens so much to me as well, on either side of the fence. I initiated and died so many times, but I let our initiator die almost as many times too. Admittedly I usually err on the side of caution - one or two deaths isn't something you can't come back from, but a potential team wipe might be.
It's always going to be a mess unless there's a clear positional or strength advantage for your team. The only way to get people to think with a single mind is to make a decisive call over voice comm and hope the team follows through (and take responsibility if it fails). If everyone thinks for themselves the indecisiveness is bound to happen.

Yeah that's even true while playing with friends (atleast for me it is) if someone engages chances are he did see an opening you didnt catch, so start the teamfight at this moment not after you evaluated the situation again.. if you miss the moment just run back.. it helps no one if you die after because you feel guilty or smth. o.o

Lately the lack of team fight coordination (initiation with follow through) seems to be the biggest issue in my games. I can have a team composed from good individual players, but can't team fight at all. For instance couple days ago, I have played a game where my team had 20 kills advantage in 30 minutes, we had all our towers and the enemy team was missing mid racks. Well we managed to lose the game in 65 minutes mark. All caused by lack of teamfight/coordination. We tried to finish the game despite we were missing 1 or 2 heroes. Our players went alone and got picked up by a shadow blade or something. I was so frustrated after the game ended not because we lost, but because we lost against really bad team thanks to our mistakes and inconpetence.

#gofuckyourself and idontcare.jpg was the answers i got when asking why no one was carrying a tp when the enemy decided to dive past 2 whole towers for a single kill. We lost that game, with the person in question going 0-8. What have I done to deserve people like this? >.<

this is a recurring thing. Despite the popular saying "always carry a TP", most people don't actually always carry a TP. I know Dotabuff isn't the greatest indicator but look through your match history and see how many people end the game carrying a TP scroll (and aren't completely 6slotted)
dota is hard to play

Pushing lane isn't always bad. I get flamed for pushing safe lane a lot of the time when I'm either trying to keep the creep wave just outside of tower range or pushing it enough that pulling won't force carry to last hit under tower. Obviously it's bad in a tri lane, but if ur just doing dual lane vs dual lane and the carry doesn't have the mechanics to last hit perfectly under tower or keep equilibrium it's not exactly the mortal sin a lot of people make it out to be.

Yep was on a good winning streak.. team picks juggernaut pl PA rzaor (i take sand king). Going to be a fun game.
