I just witnessed a perfect example of why people get so mad, when their teammates do not communicate [hinting at that popular debate]
Okay so this is what happened: My team consisted of Doom, Rubick, KotL, Pudge and Gondar [me], the enemies were VS, WL, SF, Undying and Silencer. We did decent early and midgame, was a pretty balanced game for the most port, until WL got up his Aghs, when things went a bit troublesome for us. But I just told our Doom to doom WL, so we can teamfight safely. So in every single teamfight I then see him the farmed SF - won't keep him from rightclicking, right? WL unloads his shit and we lose every single teamfight. Not confincingly enough tho, as we are able to trade evenly. Me getting a Diffusal right after BKB didn't help either, as all of us were already dead by the time I'd have the chance to purge away one off the golems. Nevertheless the fights still are only slightly in their favor. So eventuall the WL gets up his refresher and we end up losing the game. As the throne goes down I just say "Damn, we really needed to doom WL in the end :/" and the doom responds: "What is WL anyway?" I asked him if he was serious and he told me he was.
I literally yelled at my monitor for a good 10 seconds. My neighbour even knocked at the door to ask if everything as alright.
So what do we learn? Always ask, if you don't understand everything your teammates say, since communication is key.

I've played almost nothing but support lately solo queue, and goddamn if it hasn't rewarded me with some depressing games. The kind of mind numbing stupidity that makes you think the game really wants you down to 50% no matter what it has to do. Grr

play roaming support
it's even better since no one buys wards in pubs, no one can see you coming

I hate people who give up early and stop playing T_T, I hope they'll get banned/go to low priority.

I never thought I'd be posting in this thread since I play and take the game super casually, but when a team with QoP and Kunkka forces you to go mid as Kotl after you've already bought wards and a courier and they won't budge after my pleading in the most politest of ways (not sarcasm). On the flip side, the mid didn't even go that badly as the other team decided to put a Disruptor there.
I'm probably in the lowest of the lowest bracket somewhere, but even there things normally don't get that twisted. -_-

I just lost a game in which i had midas on Naix in minute 3 or 4 and 2-0 score. Im exactly speachless. Storm mid went 3-15, Sven 3-14. I end game 7-10 after being flamed whole game for going laning on Naix by Sven instead of jungling like Naix should (even tho i wrote during picking that i wont jungle). First ward was bought around 15 mins mark when QoP was 7-0 or somethign equally absurdal.
This is very high bracket on EU west, at this point im actually clueless if i ever want to even queqe solo this game again couse im not sure how this game matchmaking can think im on same level as those people.

If WL is Troll Warlord, which I don't know what else it would be, why not just say Troll?

So, just now, after we owned the opposing team in a teamfight we went on the hunt for an escaping Pudge. Probably chasing over half the map, and i finally caught up with him. Exactly as I landed my ultimate (Fiend's Grip) and feeling sure of the kill, a Puck teammate blinks forward and hurls him into the sky with his Eul's. Heavy QQ-moment. Needless to say, Pudge got away.

Haha, funny thing about idiots that give in way too early, I was just one of those! Our lineup in Random Draft seemed so horrible compared to theirs, that I "gave up" right from the get-go. Lanes were:
Top CK+Wisp vs. Kunkka Middle Silencer vs. Puck Bottom OD (me) + Drow vs. Sven, Disruptor & WD
Our toplane was fair enough I guess, but Silencer decided to be a total douché and grabbed mid for himself, leaving me and Drow to rot in bottom lane, barely getting xp and gold, and whenever we tried to we got glimpsed back into their claws on our immediate retreat. Of course we stood no chance and conceded several kills. After fifteen minutes or so of shear agony we all begged for them to end the game as soon as possible. They didn't, so we went for ourselves and farmed some minor gear, thinking it was doomed from the start.
When teamfights starting happening at our tier three post in middle, we held our own - actually we crushed them 5-0. The momentum changed in our favour. This snowballed for a while, and we were all psyched for a huge comeback after that dire kick-off. That CK+Wisp combination became extremely lethal as they tend to do, and we all gained some sorely needed cash- and levelboosts. From here on out Dire and Radiant were neck and neck. We, Dire, took down a set of barracks of theirs, and they took out two sets of ours.
Every key hero in the game bought back multiple times towards the end in a game that had gone from a merciless laning phase following a dreadful draft to quite the nail-biter. It all ended with an unfortunate 70-69 loss - their Sven and Kunkka's cleave/crit got too strong and we couldn't hold back any longer. In the final stages of the game we guarded our only ranged barracks we had left and pushed out from our base for about ten minute, until we officialy gave in! =)
So, I guess the morale is; never give up! If I'd done that I would've missed that intense back-and-forth and epic game - easily five stars on the enjoyment-bar!
PS: If only Drow had gotten her shit together we'd probably have won the game! However in the end it didn't even matter because the game was too good too feel upset with a loss.

Why not just say Warlock then? It isn't two words, it shouldn't be an acronym.
I had a guy keep yelling at "cg" the other day. No idea who that was.

I just played as Drow (AR mode) - how is this hero any sort of balanced, it's such a joke. I went something like 13-2-7 while basically jerking off. This isn't gloating, this hero is just utterly fucking retarded.
I know her weakness is that she's easy to gank, but that applies to other heroes (silencer/SF/viper/whatever) but none of them are anywhere near as powerful as Drow.
also, teammate carries that autoattack. Come on, you have 150+ games, you should know already how to last hit. I don't rage at them since that doesn't help, I ask politely and if they can't/won't step it up I'm changin' my role from 5th to farmer (while still buying wards/dust - that shit is important yo)

stuff like WL and CG is referred to as such overwhelmingly in the Chinese scene because of difficulty of pronunciation as well as the inherent stupidity of a lot of translated Chinese names
