Okay so this is what happened: My team consisted of Doom, Rubick, KotL, Pudge and Gondar [me], the enemies were VS, WL, SF, Undying and Silencer. We did decent early and midgame, was a pretty balanced game for the most port, until WL got up his Aghs, when things went a bit troublesome for us. But I just told our Doom to doom WL, so we can teamfight safely. So in every single teamfight I then see him the farmed SF - won't keep him from rightclicking, right? WL unloads his shit and we lose every single teamfight. Not confincingly enough tho, as we are able to trade evenly. Me getting a Diffusal right after BKB didn't help either, as all of us were already dead by the time I'd have the chance to purge away one off the golems. Nevertheless the fights still are only slightly in their favor. So eventuall the WL gets up his refresher and we end up losing the game. As the throne goes down I just say "Damn, we really needed to doom WL in the end :/" and the doom responds: "What is WL anyway?" I asked him if he was serious and he told me he was.
I literally yelled at my monitor for a good 10 seconds. My neighbour even knocked at the door to ask if everything as alright.
So what do we learn? Always ask, if you don't understand everything your teammates say, since communication is key. If WL is Troll Warlord, which I don't know what else it would be, why not just say Troll? WL is Warlock O_o Why not just say Warlock then? It isn't two words, it shouldn't be an acronym. I had a guy keep yelling at "cg" the other day. No idea who that was. Warlock has been WL for me the past 6 years and that was the very first time I've met someone not knowing what it means. I'm also rather complaining, that he never asked. That's the problem. The problem is you decided to write shorthand in a QQ where you just assumed that everyone has played as much as you have and know what ever hero's abbreviation is. Theres probably as many people that are still learning the game as there is veterans here.

That's hardly his problem. If I'm new (and I am) and I don't know an acronym, I google it. I've been doing this for the last three weeks. Abbreviations are part of the discourse around every single game.

People's reluctance to type never ceases to amaze me. That kind of thing happens so often.
By far the most frustrating one is when people ignore pre-game chat and then last-pick something totally stupid.
Had a game the other day where 4 of us arranged lanes and picks pre-game - totally unprecedented in solo queue, as far as I've seen - only to have the last guy pick drow at 0:30 after we'd all bought items, and then go camp mid and force our nyx to offlane. Utterly infuriating.

I'm the Alchemist. I was blamed for our loss. All game long the three supports didn't carry TPs, ward, or buy reveal for Mirana. I asked them at least 5 times to get dust for her, or buy TPs to help when Syllabear is getting ganked mid, but they insisted on pulling/standing still in lane with an Alchemist against nobody.
I had a 13 minute Radiance, and ended up getting a Rampage shortly after, leading us to get a bunch of free towers, and Roshan. I made room for the supports to farm items and be able to ward, etc. but they refused to. They just followed me wherever I went, and wasted time.
But the loss was my fault.
Why do I even bother to solo queue? Seriously one of the most stressful experiences ever, getting complete vegetables for team mates.

It's annoying when you lose the game because one person doesn't know how to play their character. Game is going fine, they're pushing towers constantly but we're winning team fights and evening it up for the time being. Top lane is won as me (lone druid) and ogre magi secure first blood and follow up kills, and the other two lanes are doing fine.
Suddenly, in a gank Outworld uses his ult to get last hit on a dude we were ganking. The next time he ults, it's on two people below 100 health that we were about to kill in another gank. He uses it on solo heroes, people going to die anyway and illusions (Yes, he used sanity's eclipse on two obvious tinker illusions). Even the friend with me who had been online twice before was landing good reverse polarities. Every time we entered a teamfight we'd get a good advantage early in it while outworld began to contribute nothing with ult on cooldown because he wanted to killsteal. We'd lose the teamfight while enemy team all got away with very low health.
I wouldn't even be this annoyed if he hadn't bought aghs scepter.

more like why are you letting it get to you. If they blamed you despite how hard you carried them then just mute them and keep playing. Seriously people, mute button saves lives.

Yep, sometimes however, I get lucky and the rest of my team completely crushes. Then the jungler comes out after 30 minutes and gets a couple of kills and feels really important.

No offense, but I always think it's really funny when people manage to write whole sentences like "Use doom on WL if we teamfight" several times in the game but writing out "Warlock" only once is too much. Always remember: Think not about what the others make wrong, think about what you can make better.
Btw: My Anti-QQ Strategy if i play pubs (I usually only play teamgames): start game gl & hf to everyone mute everyone -> enjoy The russian & random flaming when losing is just too much for me.
|
Reverse QQ : all random we have kotl, tinker, ogre, treant & one other supports who repicks only to get omni. They have nyx, batrider, puck, lina, chaos knight. The game is even all game long & we finally win at minute 50. It was hilarious & really fun to have such a refreshing team comp.
|
Phantom cancer qq I hate this f****t hero and everyone who is playing him
|
Zeus players who use their ulti only to get killing blows..
The fact that pub players make the dumbest decisions when it comes to picking a hero. I know its an old story but most people dont give a fucking shit about the other player's picks, they just pick what they want to play and what hero sounds "cool" to them. It never ceases to annoy me. It shudders me to see people who still use the "card-view" when picking a hero and you can literally see how they are browsing the heroes one after another and usually pick the worst one in regard to the team.
Also, a while ago in a game this happened to my team:
