So im on a winning streak right. I have like ~5-6 wins in a row playing mid and pretty much owning my opposition with good ganks. So i figure that soon enough ill get a better players to play against so the mm system can balance my win %. Boy was i wrong.
Im on mid Invoker vs Qpop pretty much owning her easily. I usually farm for a few minutes for boots before i go gank. Well by the time i got boots the other team was 7-0. Not with ganks or something..no no....1 vs 2 enemy bh has 3 kills vs our 2 man bot lane and top 2v2 enemies have like 4-0 . I go baby sit top and kill their tower and then i see why our team gave away so many kills. They were fucking retarded...not one or 2 of them..all of them....and i dont mean just "not that good players" - they we actually retarted. It happens to every1 to get a bad or worse player in their team from time to time but it balances out with the bad players on the opposing team. This happens only till you have to be "put down in your place" by the match making system.
The way it seems to be working for me at least is that you dont get better opponents you just get worse team mates. Thats the way the match making system balances you. You get way worse team mates than you should be possibly getting at your level so the system can "put you back in your place".
You know those games where you win fast with a team score of like 30-6 but you dont understand exactly how cuz the guy you midded against pretty much owned you in every way? Yah....he had to be put down and got awarded a full compliment of retarted teammates.

Yuip, that's exactly how it works for me too. If you win too much, you get retarded teammates as a reward. I understand that some people are not good and do mistakes. I also make many mistakes of course. But the teammates i am getting lately are plain retards. I can't explain it otherwise. I had more game sense when i played my first game than they have being on lvl 15-20.

Last week I joined a team that was advertising for a 4 on /r/compdota. We played 2 games in team matchmaking that evening. In the first one, the captain decided to draft kunkka and shadow demon (me) in mid, a dual lane in the easy lane, and a jungler, leaving the hard lane empty. Every time I left to ward the rune spots Kunkka died - literally every time. Despite all this I managed to score half of my team's kills by the time the game ended at 25 minutes. In the second game the captain decided to leave the hard lane empty again so he could jungle the ancients with tinker. I was a Lina in a tri-lane with a Leshrac and Gyrocopter. Once our opponents figured out what tinker was doing they bashed down the T1 and T2 towers in the hardlane and repeatedly ganked him from all sides, killing him around 8 times in a few minutes while he moaned about not having wards and sents covering all of the ganking points. On the easy lane the QOP was tearing the Gyro to pieces because although the jungle and river were full of wards, he had no map awareness. Even when I typed "QoP coming top with a haste rune" they didn't react. We were sieged in the base by 20 minutes.
The day after I got a notification that I'd been kicked from the team. A few hours later I had been deleted from all of their steams and kicked from the Skype room.
The moral: be careful about who you get in teams with. The amateur competitive scene is full of the biggest egos and most delusional silver-leaguers that you've met in pubs.

Oh god I had a match just like this not long ago, and the funny part is that 3 people on my team used a clantag, which would indicate that you at least have some kind of interest in attempting to play well. I can not fathom how someone ends up doing the same damn mistake 10 times in the same game. If your attempted solo gank on the mid hero didn't work out the first 5 times, its time to find another strategy, not try it 5 more.

Very often people are super egoistic and rather want to win 4v5 than waiting for 5 minutes in a game that takes 50 minutes...

no i mean i tried to reconnect right away since my dota 2 client crashed, but when i got back in after like 20 sec i had a loss and could not reconnect

Holy crap! Just had a guy afk for 30 minutes while I was farming so hard. Apparently he's "full support" so he stays in base for 30 minutes doing nothing but use his treant heal.
Apparently the reason why we lost was because I got the crit blade before getting my heart. Not the lvl 11 Treant 50 minutes in.
Never going to play an AP game ever again.

This also applies to if a teammate is caught off guard by 3 people and you're near him. It doesn't matter if you can't save him, it's important that you die trying to.

My team is about to win the game, just as we push the final rax, my game crashes for the first time ever and when I start up the game there is no reconnect button and the game is lost. What the fuck?
