GAME ONE, 2:23 loss Game one, I pick Medusa. Our Ember picks ember after someone else grabs a mid, and after failing to convince the team that it was his divine right to mid, he heads top with our offlane windranger. Warns me that if I feed he's going to rape me and kill me and other such fun stuff. Dies before the 1:00 mark, abandons immediately after. Game was good. GAME TWO, 34:01 victory Next game, get that same Ember picker again. I pick a centaur offlane, he actually gets mid this time (Even though he used the "I'm 5/0 look at my match history" to which I replied "I was in your last game, you abandoned and we lost before the 2 minute mark") and game actually turns out to be okay. He's an average mid for the bracket, and our top lane dominates + me not losing offlane = won game. Great job teammates! :D GAME THREE, 27:55 loss Game three. That Ember again, except on the enemy team. I mention I'm going to play a carry, we've got a windranger offlane picked and highlighted, and someone picked and highlighted mid. We've also got a picked enigma, who is probably going to woods. Last pick says "Let me carry", I say no as I'd already picked Luna. He says "Fuck you" and picks a slark, and says "Solo offlane". Windranger is apparently a badass and gets crow and tangos, and agrees to support top. Commends for windranger! Top lane is that Ember, now playing Abbadon, and his queue buddy Sand King, and they play aggro as fuck. They're constantly sprinting past creep waves trying to hit level 1 SK stuns, have us self-damage through abba shield and all kinds of other obnoxious stuff. I'm going "Okay, this shouldn't be so bad. Any rotations at all from Enigma should mean the death of this Abbadon, and should mean us winning the lane. A couple misplays later, Windranger has died twice, and I've died once, and shit's bad. I'm getting some farm, but their kill advantage has given them levels, meaning I've now gotta be scared of everything ever. Now SLARK, after Windranger dies the second time, says "Oh good they call safelane and they're shit". I point out that the enemy lane is playing retardedly, and all we need is enigma rotations. They dive us again at 5 minutes. Slark TPs top, enigma rotates in, and we get a double kill instead of us just feeding more. Hooray! ...Slark stays in lane, not just CSing, but intentionally positioning to take the CS I'm trying to take. Even if two were available, he denies me the last hit instead of each taking one. I tell him to fuck off. He replies "If u pick carry u should be able to last hit 100% shitcunt". I point out that he's fucking retarded, because I'm Luna and he's got my aura, so he does... Wait LOL. He came to my lane to steal farm, and I was out-lasthitting him (higher damage). So he went to the sideshop, finished his treads and bought blades of attack so he would have the damage advantage. I had 22/3 as CS at 5 minutes into the game (compared to their weaver/mirana safelane freefarm, at 22/5 at 5 minutes) in one of the most active lanes I've ever played, and by 10 minutes, much thanks to Slark, I was at 28 / 5. In addition to spewing mostly random hate towards me for playing carry, he said fun things like "This acct only has 2 games anyways fuck u guys ill just make a new one", and doing fun things like hopping in to the trees and saying "brb 5 minutes" then trying to pause. Anyways we lost, good game. By which I mean godawful, hope the next one's better. GAME FOUR, 30:11 loss It wasn't. I pick Tidehunter and go offlane, the rest of our lineup is a safelane tiny/mirana, a woods LC and a mid Storm spirit. I feed first blood because I'm an idiot, which is bad. Also, our Mirana is one of -those- Miranas. Which is every bit as frustrating as one of -those- pudges. And our Tiny is one of -those- players, that will argue that any play anyone makes was contrary to perfection. Invoker escapes with ~100 hp solo in our woods "OMG Why didnt you fucking ravage" I blink ravage, clearing all of Brood's spiderlings and stunning 4, defending our rax in the process - "WHY DID U RAVAGE WTF" As a bonus, we didn't have a courier, so mid Storm Spirit lost handily, not getting his 1:30 bottle 'till 5 minutes (I walked back to base and bought courier). Game's bad, go next. GAME FIVE, 5:46 loss I'm frustrated with the games, so I go back to what I know I'm good at - support. I pick Rubick, our lanes make sense. I'm with a chinese stack, and when I sarcastically ask if I queued english, our Spectre offers to translate their pre-game conversation for me. <3 nice dota people, this is shaping up to be the karmic balance game. "Guys I have 500 ping, need to restart" Shit. Two minutes of pause later (Again, nice dota people, <3 enemy team for not spam unpausing!) "Its not better, 800 ping now. Guess I abandon  "...well, shit. Whole game full of nice people, no shittalking and possibly a decent game, but someone's net explodes and we don't game after all. Go next. GAME SIX, 35:15 victory Same deal, pick Rubick again. Game's fine except the enemy team has a Bounty Hunter in our lane and I'm a support, which makes warding and generally being on the map an imposing feat. This is partially my bad for not starving him of exp early on, but when you've already started courier + wards, sentries is a bit of a stretch. The game progresses fine, I've stolen some Kunkka boats, set up some ganks, and generally played okay. Towards the game, I mention that we should rosh, to which my lanemate Juggernaut says over mic "Shut the fuck up, you're trash" ........What the FUCK? Like, what? The fuck? Enemy team Bounty Hunter laments in all chat that his team had no support, so our Juggernaut pipes up "Not like it matters anyways all our support did was feed" (I'm 0/4/6 at 25 minutes, you're welcome for the vision and the crow, fucker.). I guess I pissed him off in some other game? But that basically sums up my Dota experience for the day - even when you win, nobody is happy. | ||
