It all depends on how and when he got his losses. But there is no reason why he couldn't do that specially considering the split in solo and team MMR. Maybe played heros plays a part in the rating, no? FOTM pickers ussually have higher than average winrates, not the opposite, since they go through a win streak before reaching a stable rank, not the opposite.
One of the easist reasons for a bad winrate is messing around with stacks, if the system doesn't expect you to do that, and your solo MMR is unaffected. Basically the opposite of tryharding.

I either get counterpicked everytime (disruptor+silencer or Doom when I pick storm) or I just flat out fail and do stupid shit (miss meld strikes, overuse mana). My actual MMR is 4k, but when I play mid I feel more like a 2k baddie.
Today I got so close to actually winning: get first blood mid, win the lane, dominating by 10 minutes, orchid by 15. Then my team realizes it can't push against the enemy team. Come late game, medusa destroys all of us. I COULD blame this on our carry being Drow (seriously, why the fuck does anyone pick this piece of shit for hard carrying. It sucks balls.) but I'm too sad over my Storm W/L being 0-7 to give a shit.
T.T 3.8k MMR support dude, made a new account to learn to mid SF. Seventh game in after doing the (now obligatory) "Mid please" during loading, someone responds with a "God I hope you dont just feed. Last guy that called mid went 0/13" Naaah it'll be fine! SF vs Pudge mid matchup, I've played this matchup once before, and if he walks at me with rot at lvl 3 all I have to do is hit a mid raze, then close raze and autos should mean I win the trade. He comes at me with rot as soon as he hits 3. I'm too slow and miss the mid raze. First blood. Fuck, oh well, I can farm better. While I'm respawning, he gets an invis rune (no wards!) and ezpz hook + rot + ded. Even bottling through the rot couldn't save me. Two deaths. It's bad. Recovery strats time, I start stacking the large camp and playing as cautiously as I possibly can mid. Underestimate the range of hook. Three deaths. Go back to stacking camps in the woods. New invis rune, hunted me down in woods, four deaths. Fuck this game man, fuck this game. That pudge had my goddamn number, and all I had to do to not get fucking raped was to hit my mid raze, but I was being crafty (or something) and trying to cut off hook angles only realizing too late that he doesn't give a shit about hook angles, because he's only gonna try hook at melee range. Sad days, die and learn. Know that feel man. I particularly hate losing to pudge- you know you shouldn't have, but it still happens.

Offlane bm goes 1-13-0 against slark. One simply cannot win the game.

I find that in any game where I have LITERALLY zero tower damage, I lose. Regardless of how many items I have.
Also splitpush lycan is the stuff of nightmares, so...

well it's not like i could push towers when literally my entire team is feeding

CD, I draft ench as per yellow's request. I support void safe lane and go to easy camp to stack, only to find that it's empty. wtf? I buy wards to see if they warded the camps. Nothing. Turns out ench has just been farming fucking everything, even the easy camp. Yeah, fuck you ench.

To every person complaining about tb and asking for nerfs, it's going to happen but probably after ti4. There's a reason he isn't in competitive yet.
What I have seen in the games I've played against tb is that what makes him strong is his ability to snowball really easily because of how easy it is to get kills with that retarded slow + damage buff from metamorphosis. What I've noticed though it that people don't deal with him properly in team fights. If you can't chain disable him to focus him down before he can sunder, don't focus him lol. Focus your damage in squishy supports first then deal with him with your second round of spells. If he gets sunder off on your full hp carry and his low hp you lose the fights 9 times out of 10.
Imho his slow is the most op thing about his skillset because it's like a free diff blade slow that does damage. And unless you have a natural escape he will kill you a lot and kill you early.

I go solo safelane lone druid, i kinda win the lane vs Axe and Dazzle
OD and Timber decides its a good idea to go duo mid, OD gets no farm and doesnt know how to OD.
Mentally handicapped Juggernaut and earth spirit go bottom and gets completly destroyed by invoker sniper, juggernaut doesnt understand that maxing crit first is a bad idea, then enemy team just jerks off forever instead of ending the game.

All of his skills are retarded
His Illus are arguably the best in the game Metamorphosis is retarded Sunder is not as stupid but it's still dumb as fuck in pubs where you cannot chain stun
|
so the actual rule is that your TB is shit but the TB of the opponent is stronk
|
Metamorphosis is the biggest problem I see. It doesn't matter how little farm you have, Metamorphosis + illusions = instantly dead towers
|
I think even after they nerf TB he's going to be good in pubs, they aren't going to nerf him that much. Expecting him to be nerfed a little and in CM for ti4.
|
Sunder is totally fine. He just needs a severly nerfed laning stage. He's honestly one of the best laners at lvl 2 and onward except maybe against a few selected escape heroes. Even classic strong 1v1'ers have to be really careful when 1v1 vs TB. The slow could easily be 2/3/4/5 sec and 20/30/40/50% and it would still be very good. I mean it still does fucking damage and puts a fucking 60% attacks speed slow on you. Nerfing early metamorph is another way but it kind seems thats what makes TB be TB, and in true icefrog balancing fashion I think they could leave that.

Yeah definately no need to nerf a skill that grants range attacks and allows you to 4 shot anyone at level 2

Ranked, random razor, neat. Team picks 4 more carries.
We lost to a fucking radiance Invoker. A Quas Wex Radiance Invoker. You thought a regular QW Invoker was bullshit, try playing against one that's invis, moving at max speed and has radiance.
in the end it turns out that mid was the lowest MMR in the team by a wide margin.

I'd just like to mention that this game was after gaining 200 mmr in the past 2~ days, where I either got carried or had good supports, eitherway I had decent teammates. Then this shitstain of a game came.
|
If there was a stronger downside other than its "lol I'm actually an ult" cooldown to justify its immense strength, or a way to tone down its combination with illusions for extreme amounts of damage with no items, it could bring the hero down into a range that can actually be dealt with. Maybe a % of current HP cost for illusions (adds interesting interactions with sunder, at least!), or a -damage debuff for as long as TB is out of metamorphosis and metamorphosis is cooling down.
The hero's kinda retarded. Not uncounterable by any stretch, but I also don't think it's one that is often played well, but does often win.

I like how you cant even defend Lycan with KOTL
Fucking fucktard hero for pieces of shit
