I would look to buy a 680M though, it performs nearly twice as well as the 670M. I got myself a similar setup 2 months ago, can record 1200p on Rift/Black ops II/Starcraft/WoW/CS:GO with graphics fully maxed out and get above 30 fps. I bought mine hereThey have the exact same laptops under other brands, like Sager for example. I can't find a way to change the language on the site, but google translate should give u a clue. Thanks, but the 680M would cost 498€ (655$) more which is not worth it in my opinion. I could get a AMD Radeon hd 7970m, is this worth it? Thanks. No the 7970m is worse than the 670M as far as I know. The 680M should only cost about 300€ more tops. It's probably some other differences you are counting as well. 670M benchmark680M benchmarkYour call completely, it's a huge difference though. 680M will last (As in smoothly run current games) at least 2 years longer.
The 7970M performs like 50% better than a 670M. 670MX might be different, afaik that is a kepler part (they reintroduced an "X version" for kepler later).
Anandtech 7970M review. The MSI GT-70 (ibuypower comp) has a GTX675M which afaik is a 20% faster 670M, and from what I saw it was slotting in ~20% or so (maybe more) behind the 7970m.
Here is another comparison. I can't seem to get it to restrict, but find the 7970M and 670M.
The 7970M is usually a good value imo, but Enduro sucks, although it is finally starting to get much much better.

With that CPU, CPU performance is the least of your concerns. I use Xsplit because it works and I didn't had the time to check out other programs yet. I did try to use DXTory for faster framegrabbing. At a point it helped the performance for D3, but worked not as well for SC2. Currently I only use Xsplit with build-in tools, even for Diablo. But considering all the threads it looks like there is not the optimal configuration for everyone.
Please consider that Husky and HD seem to have very good equipment and get this razor-sharp image quality. Don't expect to have this level of quality with any affordable laptop, you will probably get an image which is a bit blurrier and/or shows less details due to encoder settings.

Get a very easy 30 fps while recording SC2 on high, Black Ops 2 maxed out & WoW on ultra. I run a 680m, but my CPU is way weaker (3630QM @ 3.2). U probably do even better than me with your setup!

Whenever i stream (480p, i72600, gt555m) I dont go over 50-60% cpu usage. But my temps will easily hit 80-85- degrees celcius if shit goes down. So in theory you always have more power available but half the time you cant even use it.
And you say that you are gonna play on a bigger screen.. Yes this has a big impact on performance. Atleast that is my experience.. i get waaaay more fps while playing games if i use the laptop monitor itself instead of an external one. (even though the internal 1 is 1920x1080 and my external is only 1680x1050)
I hope some of this helps!
By the way, this isn't, or shouldn't be, right. The only thing that should matter afaik is the number of pixels the GPU is pushing, not the size of the screen, unless bandwidth was somehow an issue, but I don't see how that would be possible...
^ People above me.

You are right, with the external monitor the amount of pixels is less for me. But i think mobile grapchics card just work better with the internal screen, like i said, its my personal experience so it doesnt have to imply anything for anyone.

Dimensions: 412 x 276 x 41,8~45,4 mm
I think my desktop is smaller than this one...
Are you sure you want to carry that thing around? Oo

you're like me. it just comes down to all it matters -> gameplay
