You need to add googlesyndication.com to the global whitelist first, then enable ABE. It will look like you enabled it for all sites but I don't get ads on other sites that use googlesyndication.com.

I tried that for doubleclick, it also started working on other sites. Dunno about googlesyndication but I can't imagine it would be different. Perhaps you could write a step by step tutorial to see if I missed something?

i really dont support the use of adblock for the most part but there some sites that really go overboard with ads

I didn't allow doubleclick, since after I whitelisted googlesyndication ads from doubleclick showed up on teamliquid. As for the "tutorial":
1. reset NoScript (optional if the thought of re-enabling all you favourite sites pisses you off) 2. go to teamliquid.net & whitelist it 3. now googlesyndication.com shows up (among others); whitelist that too. 4. go to NoScript options / Advanced / ABE 5. choose USER under rulesets 6. add the following lines
Site .googlesyndication.com Accept from .teamliquid.net Deny
That should be it. Like I said I'm not sure what the other scripts do and which ones are necessary for the ads on TL so I'm waiting for someone to explain what they do. If its necessary to unblock other sites just whitelist them and add them in ABE behind ".googlesyndication.com".
edit: I saw the sad elephant again and another site showed up in noscript called criteo.com. I whitelisted it, added it to ABE and the ads showed up again?!

Honestly it comes down to what feels good to you. Pro SC2BW players used Ball mouses for along overdue time cause they liked how they felt.

Hi, I use Kaspersky Anti-Banner, how does one whitelist TL for it? Or should I just convert to ad block plus? I'm not sure which one is more effcient.

The ads are still blocked for opera

But i like this elephant...

Thanks a lot.
But now I don't see the elephant no more.

Hello fellow TLers! Anyone else on MAC here that could help figure this out. I THINK I have some sort of addblock running because I don't see any adds on TL When we see the little elephant crying it tells you that you have some addblock running, right? :S

I have turned off ad block to support you, but the ads are so horrible that I have turned it on again.
I get the the following ads:
Russian Girls, Asia Girls, Dating... Sorry I'm to old for such ads. I would like to support you, but only when I get ads that don't look like a porn page...
I will try it again in two weeks, hopefuly you will change something

Don't really wanna see that elephant at all so I unblocked it, we all win now.
|
For Chrome, i don't have adblock or anything, but it is still showing the Elephant where the Ads should be..
|
For some reason on Chrome I don't have an icon for adblock plus, but I whitelisted the teamliquid.net domain from within the options. Elly still shows up every time though.
|
You guide only works for Adblock, not ABP I believe.
|
It worked! Bye-bye Elly, hello Villanova University.

As far as I know. there is no way to make an exception or "whitelist" a website with the adblock extensions for Opera. I've tried various things with both AdBlock Opera and NoAds Advanced and nothing seem to work properly. Shit sucks, I have to manually turn off AdBlock for TL.net and streams.
The guide in OP does work if you aren't using any extensions though.
