well, i might try the flash you mentioned..but im worried if it is not safe.
but, are you sure watching from twitch directly works?
Just use the twitch app.

twitch has a phone app, which I think is what he means. At first, their streams were not great quality but last time I checked, they have improved them.

So I have been wanting to try to overclock my comp, so is my computer capable of overclocking with an i5-2300 2.8ghz cpu and a 300 watt psu

Even if it did, there's a ~400 MHz limit to overclocking the i5-2300 anyway.
You could overclock the GT 420 a bit, but that's kind of pathetic. It's worse than integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics.

Thats a pretty awful setup for $460 (and a joke for $650) but most prebuilts from sites/shops like this are

It comes with Windows, so if you need to pay full retail (~$100) for that, and also for a hard drive and so on, it's hard to even get a Core i5 on $360 hardware costs.
Then again, you can get new Ivy Bridge i5 systems with OS for around $500 new, sometimes a bit less, so $460 for a refurb Sandy Bridge system isn't a steal or anything.
And most people asking here are better served by a better video card and a lower-end processor anyway, unless they don't plan on running any modern 3D games on it.
edit: sounds like the computer is already bought though?

Yea, just wanted to point out that being stuck with a gt620 was awful. Im a dick, sorry

I've been doing some research but can't find a conclusive answer via Google. I'm in the process of buying a new monitor and I've been pondering over buying a 120hz one. Now, my computer only has 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI port and 1 DisplayPort. Can I utilize 120hz with some sort of dual link DVIxHDMI cable? If so, can I also handle a 1920x1200 120hz monitor? Thanks in advance!

Look at this, Gihi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvi#Connector
It's one cable on one connector of the graphics card.
EDIT: Looked up DisplayPort: it apparently can have up to four "lanes" for one connector, and each lane is slightly higher bandwidth than single link DVI-D.

I actually thought I needed 2 DVI ports. Well, My DVI port is a DVI-I Dual Link so either that or the DisplayPort should be fine! Thanks man!

Is this laptop a good deal to only play SC2/LoL and watch streams? Will I have any issues with having too many programs open at once? I recognize that 4GB ram is a bit low, but I'm not sure if I'll run into trouble if I have say, SC2 or LoL running while having a stream/Grooveshark open in the background via Chrome.

It says "4GBx1" in the specification. I bet you can upgrade later if needed. (no idea about the CPU's performance etc., I feel it could be a very good deal, except stupid SC2 and its reliance on beefy single thread performance of the CPU)

AMD A-Series A8-4500M(1.90GHz)
Not going to run sc2 well at all - im not sure how much better options are available at $550 though.
Its a piledriver APU, Ivy bridge (core ix 3xxxM) will give you something like 50% better performance at the same clock speed and they sure as hell dont come at 1.9ghz any more. More expensive to get a quad core intel CPU but its better to have a decent dual core than a really awful quad core

For SC2 you really want to stay away from laptop AMD processors.
It's open box, but $490 gets you a roughly-equivalent IdeaPad Z580 with an Ivy Bridge Core i5 and 6GB of RAM instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834310630R
It's got a GT 635M, which like the HD 7670 is a last-gen 40nm part. Those two are about comparable in performance though.

I have no idea what this means, and my router logs are being spammed by it. Can anyone help me understand what is going on?

I want to ask a simple question before I create a thread if I'm unable to get it answered.
I recently added a secondary HDD to my computer. It worked for about two days and I'm hit with a problem.
My computer boots up, but does not get anything to appear, no BIOS option, and no Windows loading screen. It's definitely not my monitor and I tried booting the computer without the new secondary HDD and nothing shows up on the monitor.
Any suggestions?

hi, i'm thinking of buying a new laptop, and since i already have my mind set on a model, i just want to know if it is worth buying at all (no need recommendation or anything so i don't think i need a new thread)
this is the one i'm considering: http://sg.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/A45VS/#specifications price should be around 950USD (~1200SGD)
use for daily multitasking, sc2, dota2, and occasionally adobe after effects, adobe premiere pro. nothing much here, just wonder if the spec and all justify the price point.
some background: my current DELL is intel core 2duo P8600 @2.40GHz 4GB RAM ATi Radeon HD4570 350GB HDD rest not very important i think
any advice? thanks

You shouldnt make up your mind on a model beforehand if you have to ask for advice about it, or you are not 100% sure what all of the specs mean etc.
It looks ok but you might be able to get a better graphics card or better hard drive, or a lowish capacity SSD and all of those are a pretty big deal
