So after a month of strenuous research, I've finally composed a build that will fit my needs. I'm planning on playing games on my 1280x1028 screen; mostly starcraft 2 and occasionally some fps(call of duty and such). Did I choose the right build? And are these parts compatible?

Cpu- i3 2100

No use choosing a P67 board when you're using a processor with a locked multiplier. If you are playing at that resolution, there is no need for that GPU. A HD 5670 would be better.

HIS 5670 @$60
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161365&cm_re=hd5670-_-14-161-365-_-Product

If you are going for the i3-2100, a H61/67 motherboard would help you save some money.

Asrock H61 w/ USB 3.0/SATA 6.0Gbps @$80.

^ If you are need USB3/SATA III that is. Power supply is overkill. Your configuration wouldn't draw more than 300w under a gaming load.

Antec Earthwatts 380D
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033&Tpk=380d

^ Would help you shave off a few dollars on the total.

380D and CX430 V2 provides the same amount of amperage on the 12v rail(s) fyi. CX 430 V2 is cheaper if you factor in mail in rebate.

Go with a less expensive case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811815006

Go with a H61 motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157241 If you want USB3 or SATA3 for whatever reason, you could get this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157236

Yeah but I'm planning to upgrade to an i5 2500k later on. Will the H61 motherboard be sufficient?

If you wish to upgrade to an i5 2500k, then you should stick with the p67 as it allows you to make use of the unlocked cpu multiplier for overclocking (which the i3 2100 doesn't have). You don't necessarily have to overclock but it's useful to have if you ever decide to. At that point you would be way higher than the requirements needed to play at that resolution though.

So if I decided to not overclock with the i5-2500k, will the h61 motherboard that skyR suggested still be a good choice?

At that point, the 2500 non-k or 2400 would be a better choice, as the only difference with the -k is an unlocked multiplier for OCing, but yes, H61 would still be fine.

Sorry but getting a core i3 2100 and upgrading to a core i5 2500 or similar in six months time is a stupid idea. Either get a core i5 upfront or wait until Ivybridge to upgrade.

Why would you spend $125 on a processor just to upgrade to a $200 processor six months later if you are on such a tight budget? If this was your plan, it would be better to get a Pentium G620 and even than it's a pretty terrible plan.

My budget is below 1k, but I'm trying to keep it as low as possible so I can buy other stuff such as a keyboard and mouse.

Quick question, I have an i3-2100, when is the Ivybridge coming out, and w/ my asus p8h67 mobo will it be compatible w/ the Ivybridge?

Ivybridge is scheduled for the second quarter of 2012 and is going to be using the same LGA1155 socket so yes it will work with a BIOS update.

Awesome, thanks for pointing that out.
I was planning on upgrading to an i5 at the end of the year, but I guess that will be a waste.
