$15, best deal out there. It feels almost as good as a mechanical keyboard, and the comfortability is good as well. Durable, as I have been using it for 6 months since I bought it from Staples. no complaints for sure

I don't think you've ever used a mechanical keyboard

My sister uses this keyboard, and the keys feel like mush.

I recently brought my first gaming laptop to use when I travel for work. it's an asusg73 my only problem is that there is such a huge space before the keyboard keys start. I have an old wireless logtech keyboard that seems better to use. Is this Normal thing to do? Also is it worth it to buy a gaming keyboard will it improve my play and Apm at all?

depends on the keyboard when i went up from my laptop keyboard to my filco i say a big improvement in apm, but it depends on the player.

I use the SteelSeries 6gv2 and the SteelSeries Ikari, I absolutely hate Razer ever since I've run into so many problems with their Lachesis and their BlackWidow along with their DiamondBacks :< Ever since I've only used SteelSeries.

Did you deliberately chose the trashiest razer "lol guise gaming produkts" hardware?

The Deathadder is pretty much known as a great durable comfortable mouse, and it took like 5 minutes on google to know to stay away from most razer stuff other than the deathadder.

As for the thread topic:

i use filco tenkeyless with cherry browns. beauty of a keyboard, especially for sc2 and typing

I use my Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless with Black switches, got it tuesday! Having used dome keyboards for 12 years, this feels so much better, it's ridiculous. I've recommended a mechanical keyboard to everyone I know, if nothing else then for the amazing feel and the increased speed.

I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

I use a Logitech Ultra Flat, I got it for some sale for about 12$.
Its not too bad, I haven't tried any mechanicals so I cant really compare.

But the left shift key is utter terrible, its literally smaller then the right shift key. But I got used to it so I guess its not a big deal now.

This cost me £9. The box I have says "Standard desktop keyboard with plam rest", proving it is the cheapest of the cheap. I really want a nice keyboard, but I refuse to put down £100 for something that I've never tried before, I wish shops would have nice keyboards so I could test these different switch types :C

I got my Filco with MX Browns today and I didn't have any kind of "aha" moment when I started using it, but I definitely like it more and more. The keys are so damn easy to press, it just flows when you're typing. I'm trying to not bottom out though so I think I'm actually less accurate than I was with my old keyboard. Will take some getting used to. It's a completely different feel from a membrane keyboard.

I recently purchased a Razer Blackwidow. It is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it so far. After much deliberation I decided that Blue switches would suit me best, as I wasn't sure which would be best for me, and it seems as though I made the right decision

I use Razer Blackwidow, and i've been using it for about 1-2 months now and i have no complains at all. it's glossy and does attract dust and fingerprints but.... who cares? Just wipe it down once in a while and it remains beautiful. And i LOOOOOOOOOVE MX blues god damn...

I have the razor lycosa it works pretty well for me I like the way my keys are nice and flat I feel more comfortable playing like that. I have had the problem where keys wouldn't work for but I would just install the drivers again and it worked fine again. I have been thinking of getting a new one but I don't really want to send the money lol.

If you are on a budget:
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-002478-Keyboard-K120/dp/B003ELVLKU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306797230&sr=8-1

Great keyboard, with perfect design for most hands (4.5 stars 90 reviews) and no flaws. The only thing I would say is that its legs are a bit flimsy, it lasts about seven to nine months for me. At $11, these things are disposable for about 2 a year. It makes a nice, nonirritating clacky sound that makes it feel like a mechanical keyboard. The curve of the keys make it a great keyboard as well.

If you want to spend a bit more money, this is great as well. Many progamers use this keyboard. It also helps me learn Korean since it has Korean hangul integrated on the keys.

My dream keyboard, though some people may argue a Majestouch would be somewhat better, this will definitely impress your non-supernerdy friends into thinking you have godly peripherals. (Mechanical and fancy features)

The good old stock Dell keyboard is what I use. I think the mouse affects my gameplay more than the keyboard though.

steelseries-6gv2

I bought it a year ago just because i was wondering how a mechanical keyboard feels like. When i read the description on the Steelseries home page "build like a tank" i was like lol,yea ok.
Than when i actually first unboxed it i noticed how heavy and robust it was so they weren't kidding.
Feels like if i want i can go play SC2 and than go vandalise the neighborhood with it after to blow off some steam if i played bad:o

Just ordered this coming tom. But had a Blackwidow before and i got some problem with the space bar pushing the alt key down with it it drove me nuts so i took the bar off to see the problem but i guess that voids the warranty so i am very dissapointed with razer but before that problem i thought that the keyboard was great and very fun to type on. hoping that the SS will be the same and i guess that the space bar problem was pretty common so i am sure that razer has changed some stuff.....i did get an RMA but have not recieved the board back. The only reason i got it was because i talked to the supervisor on the phone and basically told him that i spent 100+ on this thing only to have it shipped to me broken and when i try to DIY he voids my warranty all in all it is a good board Very curious to see how the 6g will compare
