Just got a blackwidow ultimate today so far I love it, my first mech keyboard. One of the big selling points for me (outside of being a mechanical keyboard) was having the headphone and mic jack on the side of the keyboard, I'm often switching my headphones for speakers, taking them to friends, etc, saves me from going under my desk

It's ok, I've had it for a while now and the keys are starting to not respond occasionaly but other than that the backlight and size of it are nice and the keys make a nice sound.

Just bought the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard. I was originally planning to buy the Regular BW but unfortunately no store in Dubai had it in stock, so had to settle for the Ultimate. However, I got it at a bargain price from one of my regular stores at just marginally higher than the Regular Edition which is really cool.

After using it for a few hours, I have to say that I must really get used to typing on a mechanical keyboard. While you fully depress the membrane KB, obviously that is not the case with the BW and it is taking some getting used to at the moment. Did everyone take some time before they eventually got used to the beauty of mech keyboards?

Also, I am finding the layout of the BW really odd. And I don't think it is specifically due to the macro keys but they are one of the reasons. Every time I have to end up typing A, I end up pressing Caps Lock. This is due to the condensed layout of the keyboard which again should take some time getting used to. Any tips on how you got used to this would also be appreciated?

However, both of those personal issues aside, when I focus on typing on this keyboard like someone should on a mech. keyboard, it feels like sex on my fingertips. And this being the best bargain keyboard on the market, I can highly recommend this to any SC2 gamer looking for a mech keyboard but does not want to splurge on the more expensive offerings. I can already feel that my tapping is better than my old keyboard (which in all honesty was a cheap 15$ keyboard) and that is arguably the most important skill to have in SC2.

I will post up more impressions later once I fully get used to the keyboard. But for now, if you are looking for a mech. keyboard, then the Blackwidow should be first on your list if you are on a budget.

Hello everyone,

Thought to share pics of my modded Microsoft Sidewinder X6, modded with an analogue stick + 4 macro buttons taken from a wireless Logitech game pad, I no longer need to scroll across the map using the mouse anymore, and this stick is just perfect for heavy micro battles where u want to position the screen perfectly without wasting mouse moves on it ^^, took the idea from the Logitech G13 Gameboard.

razer blackwidow. never buying a membrane ever again, will try to avoid using one too. i can tell why peripheral companies are reluctant to manufacture mechs, theres no return business on these works of engineered art! ive only had my bw for 2 weeks and can already tell this keyboard will last me a VERY long time.

Razer Blackwidow is what I have. I think it has helped me type up papers faster, but not sure.

My experience is that the cheaper a keyboard is, the better. Also, don't get one of those slim keyboards that aren't really laptop style keys. Those rattle and aren't smooth when pressing.

I use a Dell Keyboard because I spilled things on my other keyboard, and the T key sticks on my Dell Keyboard.... I win this =B Lol. Not trolling but seriously. I need to stop spilling things on my keyboards, one has a shift that doesn't work one a tab, and one a T, and I have one somewhere too, I'm afraid to try it.

I know this doesnt fit in the thread, but i dont think that its worth to make a new thread about it. My keyboard broke and now i need a new one. I used the G110 until a bottle of water destroyed it. The shift button doesnt work anymore t.t. I dont know what keyboard to buy. Mechanical or not? idk. The only thing the keyboard should support F-Buttons not miles away from the 123-buttons. It can cost up to 60 €. It doesnt need special features like lights or macro keys. The keys should just work fine and dont brake while playing sc or other rts'

I hope you can help me =)
