I've been trying to uninstall sc2 beta like everyone else in preparation for release, but I simply can't.
I'm on windows vista ultimate 64 bit btw.
I've looked in control panel -> add/remove programs, not there. I've tried looking through all the sc2 folders in my documents, program files, nothing there for uninstall. I've tried Blizzard Entertainment/Common Files, it also isn't there. I unfortunately uninstalled BW thinking it was sc2 because it was labeled "Starcraft (2)".
I feel pretty much stuck at this point, after searching for a few hours trying to find out how to uninstall the game, while everyone else seems to be doing it with ease. Any ideas?

had the same problem
Delete SC2 beta folder. Run CCleaner and make a registry scan, fix issues.
worked for me

If you install a new OS it usually doesn't show up there

This.
Also, it's a good idea to run ccleaner everytime you uninstall something, or even uninstall it using ccleaner's menu as well.

Thank you I did just that, constantly ran registry scans until I had 0 issues left. Took me 3 or 4 tries to get all the sc2 ones out.
Thanks again ! now lets hope i can clean install tonight

np I read it elsewhere looks like it worked since you don't post!

Yeah, mostly there would be some remnants of the SC 2 beta files on your computer that's why when you use CCleaner (much effective than cleanmgr aka disk clean up) that should remove all those nasty things in the temp files and in your recycle bin.

just run CMD and typ: format c:

DVD ran fine for me (Windows XP/SP3)... although it's taking quite some time to install on this ancient rig. Coming up on 50 minutes now and I'm at 83%.

My DVD didn't work for me either (Win7), no installation program started (just 5 sec loading arrow). Though I downloaded the installer yesterday instead. Kinda bad to send people a coaster instead of a working installation disc.

I don't even have a DVD reader in my setup. Every game/app can be found digital in installer or ISO format, legally or otherwise. Especially the games which are made for online-play can be found legally, and they're many these days.. don't think you'll need a DVD driver very soon in time.
Even windows can be installed through ISO today..

I'm having similar troubles.I recently uninstalled the beta with no issues on Monday, in preparation for the SC2 release on Tuesday.
Today, my computer randomly shutdown, and when it came back up, it prompted me to do a system restore due to some issues. I did it, but when the computer restored, my SC2 beta was back.
I tried to uninstall the beta again, but now I'm getting the issue "Uninstaller.xml cannot be read", and having troubles reinstalling SC2 now.
Anyone else have the same issue with "Uninstaller.xml cannot be read"?

Revo Uninstaller is an epic software for uninstalling your programs. It literally deletes every single file your program has created, including registry and all that stuff.
Unfortunately its not free, but you can use the trial for 30 days.
