My budget: $200~$250 Purpose: Gaming Current CPU: Amd x2 4400+ 2.4ghz Current Ram: 800MHZ, 2GB Right now I have Neon HE 550Watt, which has been running for 5 years now. Let me know if your recommended set-up (cpu, ram, mobo) will be fine with my current PSU. Thanks ! | ||

It's performance lies between the GTX 460 768 variant and GTS 450. The GTX 460 768mb variant is nearly identical in terms of specs to the original 1GB variant whereas the SE variant has less cores and texture units along with slower clock speeds. GTX 460 SE has 288 CUDA cores and 32 ROPs at 650/1300 MHz Core/Mem. GTX 460 768MB has 336 CUDA cores and 24 ROPs at 675/1350 MHz Core/Mem. GTX 460 1GB has 336 CUDA cores and 32 ROPs at 675/1350 MHz Core/Mem. It depends on the instructions being run, but generally the extra CUDA cores on the GTX 768MB are more important than the extra ROPs and VRAM of the SE. I see I'm late in posting this, but I'll do it anyway since I'm bitter like that. I already had it typed out.  | ||

My specs are i5 2400 asrock h61m-vs 1tb seagate 4gb g.skill ripjaw HIS radeon HD 5850 Antec neo eco 450w Edit: i got windows 7 64bit ultimate, upgraded from pro my temps are fine, no OC, only happens when watching video or stream, playing games its fine Ive tried uninstalling then deleting the old drivers, then using ccleaner, then reinstalling fresh drivers, that didn't help. ran dskchk, fix dskchk, nothing worked so far. Anyone might have any ideas? | ||

To sum up my current build: Mobo: $59.99 - ASRock H61M-VS Socket 1155 Intel H61 CPU: $129 - i3-2100 RAM: ? Btw, I couldn't find any combo deals for i3-2100 and mobo, maybe i'm looking in the wrong page o.O As for ram, what would best go with my setup? | ||

Maybe it's something weird with Flash and the graphics card. It's more of a workaround to try than a solution, but try disabling hardware (GPU) acceleration. The i5-2400 should be plenty fast enough. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html And it goes without saying hopefully, to try updating Adobe Flash. This is all assuming that all the videos you're talking about are Flash. | ||

Anyone might have any ideas? Turn hardware acceleration in Flash off. Right click the flash video -> click settings -> untick hardware acceleration. Its a problem with the HD5850. Who knows why, they used to get grey screens of death a while ago and I don't think anyone figured out the reason for it. If disabling hardware acceleration doesn't work. You can try an older driver version and downclocking the clocks using MSI Afterburner. @benbrad2 There's basically no good combos for the core i3 2100 currently on Newegg so don't worry about it. The only thing you need to do is watch this and plan how you are going to route your cables and install all of your hardware. Because this is a mITX case with a full size ATX PSU, you are going to need to plan this out otherwise its going to end up fairly messy - I've built a lot of computers and these mITX cases with lots of hardware are always the most annoying to build in. Buy a pack of zipties from the $2 store before you build it to shorten cable lengths if they are too long. Because you have a fully modular power supply, I suggest installing the PSU last. That gives you significantly more room to connect everything up. | ||
