Let me try to config an i3 build Froadac. The second build actually goes over budget by $10 before MIR >< + Show Spoiler [Intel] + Gigabyte H55 $90 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128420 i3 530 @ 2.93GHz + GSkill Ripjaws PC3 12800: $220 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.365116 Antec 300 + 500W EarthWatts: $110 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.359965 Same GTS 250: $110 ($10 MIR) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134094 Same Samsung F3 1TB $75 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185 Goes over by $5 before MIR. It will be under if you choose the F3 500GB. The Intel build sits between the first AMD, and the second AMD (if you succeed in unlocking the cores). If the second AMD does not succeed in unlocking the cores, then the Intel build comes on top. If you plan on overclocking, then then Intel build is probably the best for you (but then you have to add ~35ish for an aftermarket HSF).

Also, what is an HSF? | ||

HSF is Heatsink and Fan. It cools the CPU. If you want to do overclocking, you should buy an aftermarket HSF because the default Intel HSF is terrible.

I don't know that much about computer components, so whatever you think would be good for a middle of the road between speed price and performance.

The Hyper 212 is probably the best compromise between performance/size/price.

the AGP 4650 is a good choice for performance though it is a bit expensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150433

PSU/DVD/case. i did once in the past but im not sure i remember where everything goes. plus id really rather not go through the hassle and the chance i fuck it up. id rather pay a couple extra bucks. and i dont have any old parts lying around. my old desktop computer is at my parents place and its pretty trashed and like 7 years old oh so are you saying the graphics card on that computer wont run SC2 at all? how bad would it be?
