Whats the worst that could happen? you get an email that says 'lol april fools?' People are too offended by april fools, I love getting pranked, and I would have laughed at the glimmer of hope I had if I had received and april fools response and gone to bed happy.

"Fair", and stinks of trying to save face. Yes, we'll have keys. Of course we used gmail, it was the easiest platform for all of our sites to share access throughout. No one impersonated anybody- only a couple attempts to send multiple emails were made. It was definitely the plan from the beginning to run it as it was, no abrupt changes in the middle of the "joke." Last time StarCraft.org had any decent info was right BEFOR Blizzard gave them sc1 map responcibility, that was like in 2000`? and the other sites i havent even heard of t.t While I definitely appreciate the love, I think it's funny that you'd rather no other sites get beta keys, since that will always work in your favor with regard to any chance at getting one. But it's always great to meet the fans - so glad we've got your support. ![]()

If I was to have made 10 diffrent applications, from 10 diffrent email accounts and ip's you would'nt have been able to find out, and your not going to find the ones that did such a thing allready.

I pointed out how some of theese sites have no background, minimal following and have been dead for years. Well you're a large fanboy, so I'll try to tread lightly here- but believe it or not SC.org and SCL are extremely comparable in terms of popularity, "background" and following. And really always have. I mean you'd know since you're privy to all the pertinent data, but just so others realize that you're pulling info out of your ass. You can feel however you care to about it. In fact I invite you to feel it was a wasted joke, a failed joke, not a joke- whatever you want to. Regardless the number of spoofed emails is extremely low, most have already been found/tagged, and it isn't a concern of mine.

I was noteing to the other sites and not sc.org and scl.net with "background" and following. sc.org has huge background, but it's only seen very sporadic updates dureing the last few years. Fine, if you say sc.org and scl are practically equal in activity, OK. I never said anything about But it's absolute bullcrap that you guys think you can weed out duplicates from an email. And that you take so lightly on this. "and it isn't a concern of min", have you seen what a betakey on Ebay is going for? When real people that have a passion for sc gets duped out of a key because someone sent in 50 well written applications and gets a goal with some of them that should be a concern. The way you are handeling the key handling is poor. i've made my point, and leaving the thread, i dont want to flamebait or waste my time anymore on this ![]() taken from a post of karuune's on b.net forums :: "In regards to beta, I'm seeing many websites and hoaxes messing with people's expectations. These are not official announcements, and when that time comes, the official announcement will be written by a blue or posted up on official websites like battle.net and StarCraft2.com."

Hopefully there won't be so much hate and you'll love the new alpha as soon as we release it (when it's done!) :p <3 ~LoA i dont understand why you would punish those who used their logic to determine it was just an april fool's joke (it was obvious) by not letting them into the initial beta drawing

I'll just say that I honestly don't care about the beta, I just think it's wrong to reward people for this kind of stuff.

Were some people disqualified for some odd reason? Do we have to be long time members of these fansites to have a chance?
